We are seeking a Partner Marcom Manager with in-depth local marketing communications experience for Japan!
Partner Communications team lead the marketing communications strategy, planning and execution for Apple products and services in the Partner (indirect) channel. The team drives the development of partner journey’s, campaigns, and creative with some of the biggest brands, shaping how Apple shows up within every touchpoint in the partners’ space, including all advertising, physical and digital environments.
This person will work as an integrated part of the Channel / Partner Marcom team to support the importance of Apple’s presence in Japan.
Based in Tokyo, this is a vital role that manages flawless launches of Apple products within carrier advertising, digital and in-store communications. This role requires a strong understanding of the customer journey and how they can be best orchestrated to maximise the impact of Apple product presentation and deliver the most compelling Apple product stories.
The Partner Marcom Manager, will need to develop strong senior and working relationships at the partner level as they will in partnership be developing impactful marketing campaigns, including brief development, creative feedback, timeline management and internal reviews/ approvals.
Description
The Partner Communications manager (PCM) is responsible for driving marketing innovation and raising the creative bar with indirect Channel Partners, whilst upholding the integrity of the Apple brand. Key responsibilities include:
- Drive innovative partner strategies and impactful creative work through a deep understanding of the Apple brand, our partner’s brands, commercial priorities, market trends and challenges
- Work across the global organization to understand both macro and comms trends for Apple product and services. Synthesize takeaways into insights to drive optimization of future advertising, digital and in-store efforts
- Work with Global (Geo) Partner Communications teams to identify and develop strategies and communication plans, including advertising, digital channels and the partner’s owned marketing channels in-store and online
- Develop and drive global processes, across Apple products and services, to improve the quality and effectiveness of the partner work as well as the efficiency of the path to get there
- Collaborate extensively across many teams, internationally and locally, both internally at Apple and externally with partners such as Carriers, Retailers, Banks, SMB’s and Enterprise Resellers, Media Content Providers and more
- Inspire and contribute to the large global network of Geo Partner Communications Managers, sharing best practices, findings and case studies - International travel may be required 3-4 times per year
Minimum Qualifications
- - Fluency in spoken and written English and Japanese
- - 7+ years of experience in account management, at a creative design firm, ad agency, or in-house marketing communications or creative services department

- We anticipate you will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working within telecommunications a plus
- Experience with channel marketing or marketing in branded environments a plus
- Extensive experience in brand communications across various mediums
- Successful track record in building productive relationships with creative people
- Experience in developing, producing, and implementing marketing campaigns with international brands
- Passion and eagerness to develop and drive best-in-class marketing campaigns with external partners
- Excellent presentation and communications skills
- Problem solving and analytical capabilities
- Strong team player who can work collaboratively within a wider team
- Business Travels will be required
