Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop sourcing strategy and optimize supply chain performance for Interconnect. Develop a multifaceted understanding of the interconnect commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging forces. Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals. Provide overall program management support and supply to ongoing development of processes, templates, issue procedures, and reporting. Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team across China and Japan. Manage and support new product ramps and supplier qualifications by working closely with engineering and technical operations’ teams. Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking industry best practices to develop robust cost models for securing sustainable long-term deals for Apple. Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, reverse logistics, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple’s future product roadmap and sourcing decisions. Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power within core materials markets and leverage competitive dynamics to Apple’s advantage. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Apple’s performance criteria and secure long term supply continuity. Rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to proactively identifying potential supply issues that can affect product strategy such as influencing design or supplier selection decisions for next generation of products. International travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,773 - $227,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering Management or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Demonstrating procurement or supply chain operations experience in vendor management, cost modeling and capacity planning for managing a commodity in direct or indirect domain
  • Performing Project Management for NPI programs from development through production builds by working with cross-functional teams and leading issue resolution to closure
  • Conducting supply chain assessment to identify and mitigate financial, compliance, geographical, or any other associated supply chain risks with existing and new suppliers
  • Performing should cost and bottoms-up cost modeling for components and modules based on the raw material and manufacturing process inputs from the technical teams
  • Executing and analyzing RFI/RFQ/RFP to identify new business opportunities at new or existing supply base in order to award business with a strategic and long-term approach
  • Conducting forecasting and Supply/Demand/Capacity planning and management for components and modules in the interconnect commodity, and working with suppliers to ensure that demand is fulfilled on weekly basis
  • Negotiating pricing with suppliers for new as well as existing parts based on should costs and external market conditions
