Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Research, develop, and implement data-driven supply chain diversity strategies to optimize costs, quality, supply, and mitigate risk across Apple hardware products. Create custom supply chain data solutions for Apple. Standardize and streamline business processes across Apple teams for reporting supplier plan of record, cost, and risk. Regularly prepare and present recommendations to experts and senior leadership. Use sophisticated data and statistical techniques to systematically build, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets. Identify and prioritize supply chain risk mitigation plans. Identify suitable countries for Apple manufacturing by modeling macroeconomic, demographic, and other market data. Develop an in-depth understanding of the operational landscape and risks for various countries. Collaborate with Apple teams and government officials to mitigate operational risks and enable Apple manufacturing. Identify potential suppliers, mitigate liability, and ramp production at sites. Coordinate risk mitigation alignment among commodity teams. International Travel Required 5%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $186,616 - $227,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management, International Business, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Building financial models for sourcing strategies, including should-cost modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and identification of cost opportunities
- Utilizing programming skills in SQL, Python, or R for data driven supply chain insights
- Executing ETL processes, applying relational database principles, and querying datasets using SQL for data management
- Using Tableau, R, or Keynote data visualization tools for stakeholder presentations
- Utilizing SSNIP (break-even) testing and HHI (market share) testing for analyzing competition and antitrust issues
- Identifying and evaluating operational risks and preparing mitigation plans for supply chain operations
- Project management skills for coordinating risk mitigation alignment among commodity teams and implementing supply chain diversity strategies
- Translating macro-economic indicators into usable metrics for supply chain operations
- Interacting with overseas vendors or factories to support supply chain operations
- Working with legal, trade compliance, finance, operations and engineering teams
