This is a really useful service. It is easy to use and reliable. The customer service team are quick to respond and warm and helpful. I highly recommend this service to anyone traveling around Japan!

Very useful throughout our trip in Tokyo and Hakone. We were able to share the wifi between the four of us…no issues. Only down side was the battery life did not hold up over 8 hrs. We had to pack a backup battery pack to keep it alive. Other than that, awesome device and highly recommended.

Used this pocket wifi several times on previous trips to Japan prior to pandemic! It's one of the most convenient pocket wifis out there! Very strong signals in most parts of Japan from the north in Hokkaido to down south in Okinawa! This pocket wifi has helped me navigate through 14-15 prefectures, and has even helped people reach out to friends who were lost or looking for someone or trying to view their online maps. This pocket wifi can easily be picked up at Japan's top international airport terminals or even at the hostel location itself. Returning is easy as well! Most airports have their own postbox where you can return the pocket wifi with their own personal envelope with stamps and seals at no added cost! Highly recommended to anyone especially now that Japan is slowly opening up again! Thank you so much, and I cannot wait to use again!

My wife and I travelled to Japan from Feb 5 to 10 and we rented the Pupuru pocket wifi. We already have two Skyroam Solis global wifi device but it was useless during the last vacation we had in Cairo an Europe last November 2019. Since we still have around 9 daypasses on the Skyroam, we just rented one unit of the Pupuru pocket wifi and we did not use the other Skyroam Solis. My wife and I need 2 separate devices because when she goes shopping, we usually go our separate ways and I usually just watch Netflix or Amazon Prime tv shows and stay at Starbucks while she is shopping. So during these occasions, my wife brings the Skyroam just so we can consume the remaining daypasses and I have the Pupuru pocket wifi. I was not disappointed with the speed of Pupuru. I was able to watch movies and my favorite TV series for hours. With Skyroam solis, I cannot watch movies because the speed is just 0.42Mbps. Pupuru pocket wifi speed was consistent at 21 to 30Mbps all throughout our stay in Japan.

Second time I've used PuPuRu - still as easy as always! Wished the battery life was a little better, but that might have been affected by the cold conditions.
