Avoid using this firm because they keep changing their rules frequently, and they only want you to keep bringing in money, which will disappoint you in the end. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I recommend PAIVA. They do pay.

I wanted to improve my navigation of the new platform. Reached out to support and Brad Newman was assigned to my case. He was prompt, clear and helpful in each of his responses (initial and follow up) with me. Made it easy to understand and was clear and honest in letting me know the current situation at the back end and near future support initiatives aimed at helping us!
SurgeTrader has made changes along the way with what could be traded, but I adapted. The latest change was to their own trading interface. Everything about it was an improvement. I was also able to monitor and update my trades on my phone! I have never failed an audit, but it's been slow going for me. Recently, I've been making steady progress towards passing my audits and was looking forward to future payouts. This closure is a HUGE disappointment. I hope this site can be a way of communicating to the company my request to have my audit fees refunded. My accounts are 9500969 and 9512594.

It is a miracle to me to find Surge trader with their funded account program. At first I thought it was a scam until they I started trading with my first live account fully funded within hours of passing my audition. They are also always available through live chat and helpful. I am calling it a home for my trading career.

SurgeTrader - funded traders trade on live account! Single step single fee simple rules and use regulated broker.
SurgeTrader has outstanding features that stand apart from the many prop firms out there - they use regulated, very thin spread broker that permit EA and manual trading (~0 pips on EURUSD!); simple rules and single step audition with no minimum or maximum time to pass, and funded accounts that are live accounts. Now, most prop firms popular these days base their funded accounts off a copy-trading (demo copy to live) model, so trading directly on a live account should assure traders profit earned is what they see (no profit split excuses or changing rules to make it hard to withdraw profit that a prop firm don't actually have on their side) and no copying glitches, slippage, etc. I tried their 50k audition and it was excellent. Log in credentials provided same day. Support chat is prompt, and dashboard is incredibly simple to read and the few simple rules to abide by are right on the middle of the dashboard to remind constantly and data is near instantly updated. I faced no glitches at all in the trading - no frozen data or issues updating the trading performance. Perfect. They also focus on the essentials to make me a better trader as I explore prop trading as an office worker trading part time to support my family - keep drawdown low and keep risk of blowout account low with the low leverage and setting stoploss for every trade. I like that they are strict but not unreasonably unforgiving - the less critical rules are programmed to close out trades automatically so there's no risk traders accidentally failing such as in the case for other leading prop firms - e.g. trades are closed without stoploss set and trades closed before weekend. It has great potential and is a hidden gem among the other prop firms out there. If you are ready, you can even trade on a million dollar account for just a one time fee of only a few thousand dollars! Skip the wait for long scaling-up over months. Undercapitalized retail traders who want to seriously explore prop trading and are particularly concerned with good business model and a properly backed prop firm should check out SurgeTrader.

Mail shot from SurgeTrader offering trading funding
I received an email out the blue to see if I wanted to be funded as a trader. I asked where they obtained my email address and was later informed that I attended a partner seminar where they found my address. This is not true as I have not attended seminars for years. When I have attended a seminar, I never give permission for 3rd party mail shots. Can't be proved one way or the other. I am very angry that this company obtained my email address from somewhere and started to mail shot me. I contacted them via chat and of course they referred me to their web pages for information. The front page requests payments for them to "audition" your skills as a trader. HAHAHAHA! See their front page requesting fees for "auditions".
I did suggest to them that they were scammers and that I would refer this case to the UK Information Commissioners.
Anyone being contacted by these people should act with due diligence and suspicion. This company only opened in June 2021 according to the information I obtained.
Be careful traders and DYOR. :)

You received an email from us, as you’d attended a virtual trader conference that our partner sponsored. The option to rescind permission is conveniently located at the bottom of the email and, of course, per regulation (and common courtesy), we’d no longer contact you if you’d opted out.
We’ve reviewed the chat and, respectfully, we never solicited payment from you. In fact, our agent politely asked for your email so that we could (1) source it back for you, per your request, and (2) remove you from our mailer. You declined, called us names and left.
Like you, we encourage all traders to do their due diligence before partnering with a prop trading firm. We've worked hard to launch SurgeTrader this year, and while our launch was only in June (not October), SurgeTrader is a legitimate, US-based prop trading firm with many traders in our community. We pride ourselves on being transparent and open with the trader community.
