Mestre Antoni wurde am 26. Januar 1853 im kleinen mallorquinischen Ort Inca geboren. Ein Ort am Fuße der Sierra de Tramontana, der schon damals ein aufkommendes wirtschaftliches Leben hatte. Vor allem, wenn man ihn mit anderen Orten im Mallorca des 19. Jahrhunderts und vor dem Tourismus vergleicht, die so isoliert und in sich geschlossen waren.

After his death in 1918, Mestre Antoni not only bequeathed a highly mechanized and developed shoe workshop. His legacy is especially a way of understanding and doing things: of conceiving the production of footwear, the mission of a business and relations with workers, among many other things.
