WATER LEAK REPAIR - JANUARY 14 - 15, 2025

A water leak located in the area of 193 Comegys Street will be repaired January 14 - 15, 2025.  Water will be shut off only to those residents effected by this water leak, those residents with connections along Comegys Street.  The residents effected by this shut off will be individually notified on January 13, 2025.  Water service will be shut off to address the repair; but will be restored as soon as the repair is completed.  Once the water is restored, we recommend flushing all toilets and running all faucets for approximately 5 minutes before using them.  It is advisable to clean the aerator filter in the faucets after running the water as well as to run an "empty" cycle in your washing machine, then clean the hose filter.  The actual repair will will be performed on the 14th unless issues surface, the contractor will return on the 15th to patch the road.  Make sure to remove all vehicles from the street to avoid a hindrance to this repair work. 

 

                                                                                                                       

  

  

 

 

 

For the taxable year beginning July 1, 2024, the Town Council of the Town of Millington proposes to increase real property tax rates from $0.30 per $100 of assessment to $0.33 per $100 of assessment.  A public hearing on the proposed real property tax rate increase will be held at 402 Cypress Street, Millington, MD on May 7, 2024 during the regular monthly Town Council Meeting.  The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
