Dr. Charles Richard Campbell, '25 affectionately called "CR" by his intimate friends, has been the official athletic team physician since 1935 with no salary attached.

It was necessary for him to give up his Saturday office hours weekly to cover the games at home or away. This he did willingly, cheerfully accepting the financial loss to be of service to Alma Mater in particular and specifically to aid the athletic program of his College.Â
 Â
His services have been invaluable to our athletic teams for a period of 39 consecutive years, now entering the 40th year.

He has played his professional role excellently, and has gone beyond the "call of duty" to serve as a confidential advisor to those who desired his paternal assistance.

He had never failed once to go the second mile, where Alma Mater was concerned.Â
