Hall of Fame
Henry 'Goose' Smith was born in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1935. He attended the local school system in Portsmouth and played Varsity football and basketball at the I.C. Norcum High School.
He attended Morgan State University from 1953-57 and was a member of the CIAA Championship during his tenure. He was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Varsity "M" Club, Inc., and the Pan Hellenic Council. He was also on the Dean's List while attending Morgan.
After moving to West Hempstead, N.Y., he became affiliated with the New York Alumni Association of Morgan State University.
From 1958-1960, 'Goose' played football and basketball for the 7th Army and was a member of the All-Europe Track Team.
