Matthew “Mack” Marcus Jr. Matthew “Mack” Marcus is a native of Baltimore. He attended Dunbar High School where he earned 9 varsity letters in football, basketball, baseball, and track. At Morgan, he earned 4 varsity letters in football. He was a magnificent athlete with tremendous agility and quickness. He could outsmart the most able defender with seemingly impossible maneuvers. He is an Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity member, ranked as a Major in ROTC at Morgan and was on the Dean’s list for at least two semesters.

Mack’s professional and military honors include: Head of Physical Education Department and coach of basketball and track at Lincoln High School in Frederick High School; First Lt. in the U.S. Army; Senior Recreation Center Director for the Bureau of Recreation in Baltimore City; Guidance Counselor for the Baltimore City Schools; and presently serving as Superintendent of his Sunday School, a member of the Board of Trustees, Senior Choir, and Men’s Chorus at Little Ark Baptist Church. He is also Unit Principal at Robert Poole Jr. High School.
