Nathan Munford III was a significant contributor to the MSU football team during the 1975 through 1978 seasons. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Munford is considered one of the most versatile offensive talents in MSU history, having earned All-MEAC First Team honors as a running back and a receiver in multiple years. In addition to earning the same recognition on Mary;and's All-State teams.

Munford's efforts served to support Morgan's second MEAC conference championship in 1976.

In recent years, Mr. Munford has been actively involved in the Richmond community as a high school football coach and overall development of the young men in his community. Nathan is a retired Juvenile Correctional Supervisor giving 25 years of service.
