 Otis Johnson was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and attended Benjamin Franklin High School. Otis came to Morgan in 1951 highly qualified to represent the nickname,"Jet"- he could fly.

He ran four years varsity track and two years varsity football. He was a record holder of the 60 yard dash at the B.O.C meet three years in a row. He was also the 60 yard dash champion- South Atlantic Indoors.

He was a member of the "Flying Four" mile relay team that won 13 national championships. Member of the only team that ever won the national A.A.U. championship three years in a row with the same team members. This team set a new record each year in New York; won five relay titles at Penn Relays Championship of America. A member of 4x 100 relay that won three years in a row and retired the cup for that event. Member of an All-Army Team that toured the country. A member of the Summer Aid Program. Coordinator- working with high school students, helping students stay in school. Consultant for Recreation Department in willingboro, N.J on staff at School District for Handicapped.
