Ramond Chester was born on June 28, 1948 in Cambridge, Maryland. He was a member of Morgan State's 1968 undefeated team, scoring the Bears' only touchdown in their historic victory over Grambling at Yankee Stadium. He was also a member of the 1970 College All-Star team and was selected by the Oakland Raiders with the 24th overall pick in the 1970 NFL Draft. He was a member of the Raiders (1970-1972; 1978-1981) and Baltimore Colts (1973-1977). He was selected NFL Rookie of the Year in 1970, was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and was a Super Bowl Champion in 1980. He was inducted into the Black College Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
