Robert “Buck” Tyler, a member of the great relay team which carried Morgan through the “50’s” reportedly beat the great John Boricon in a 440-yard dash as a high school junior on the Boardwalk of Asbury Park with an unofficial world record time of: 46.1 in 1941.

Bob held a host of sprinting titles. He was CIAA 100-yard, 200-yard dash champ, national champ in 200 meters, plus national champ on the European and Canadian tour with the U.S. mile relay team. Bob ran the second leg on the team which broke the University of Pennsylvania Relay Record.
