Lt. Col Timothy “Tim” Eli Howard, United States Army (Deceased) was a great athlete, an excellent student, and a highly decorated Army officer. He ranked among Morgan’s greatest passers and kickers. During his era, Tim led all kickers in the NCAA with a 46-yard average per kick.

An inspiring leader on the field, Tim was an All-CIAA quarterback selection in 1948 and 1949. In addition to his football feats, Tim rose to varsity status in basketball.

A product of the Morgan ROTC, Time joined the active Army as a Second Lieutenant and advanced to the grade of Lieutenant Colonel. Serving as a combat commander, Col. Howard was killed in action during the Vietnam War.
