William Elsworth Gordon was born in Havre de Grace, Md. on June 22, 1936. Upon completion of Havre de Grace High School entered Morgan in 1952 on a football scholarship. He graduated Morgan in 1957 with a degree in Physical Education and Biology minor.
"Tiny" played football under the capable coaching of Eddie Hurt and "Marse" Hill. He distinguished himself by being rated All-C.I.A.A. (tackle) and selected small college All-American. He also captained the championship team of 1956-57.
After college "Tiny" played football with the Lodi Generals, the Titans, the Big Red and the Amicron Eagles until being injured in 1968.Â
"Tiny" Gordon resides in his hometown of Havre de Grace where he worked with Little League Football and the men's Softball League. He is employed by American Cyanimid and is active in UAW - Local 1338, serving twice as its president.Â
