Goukon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi

This was overall a fun show. It was a newer concept and it deals with tomboys (more or less) so what's there to hate.

Story: The concept and plot are nothing groundbreaking but it's something new to the usual romcom norm so there's that to get your interest. It does a good job spreading the time between the 3 couples and doesn't really favor one more than the other even though you get mc/fmc vibes from two of them. One couple you'll wish they had more time and another less which you'll find out by watching. I will say it felt like it was dragging on ... doing the same thing close to the end but they actually do have more progress so have patience.

Sound: Nothing stands out but it fits the bill so no complaints

Art: It's good and the mc's/fmc's are drawn well but it is more on the low-budget side with low animated movements and the background characters but they play it off well.

Characters: Hagi really makes it hard to watch, especially near the end of the season, it goes back to that dragging on sensation where it is just repeating what they've been doing the last few episodes but they tie it up pretty well at the last episode.
Suou and Tokiwa you wish were moving faster but this show is that slow romance type.
Each character has a different trope which will make you like them or start getting annoyed asking yourself why are they like this.

Enjoyment: If you like romance this is a show that you get you grinning but also make you want to slap em for being dumb or slow but it really is a hidden gem that I say give it a shot.

Overall: Do give it a chance if you think it fits the bill. I don't believe it will get a second season so do keep that in mind but that is just mine opinion and I'd be happy to be wrong. Some parts are more like a 6-7/10 but overall I give it an 8, something you might come back to watch with someone else or if another season came out to re-watch.

Sadly I don't expect this show to get a second season but it's a fun watch so I do recommend watching it if you like romcoms.

This show caught my interest from some scenes I saw on Twitter, especially for its comedic side.

The first episodes are really cool—the character introductions and plot are really well done. The boys attend a mixer, while the girls are dressed as boys because they work in a host club. Everything revolves around this, with plenty of jokes about it, and they’re honestly really funny (the "Prince at school" that fangirls try to identify, the super cute relationship between Asagi and Fuji, and how innocent he is). The plot is very "fluffy" and cute.

The problem for me is one particular character: Hagi. His confusion about his ... feelings could have been interesting if it didn’t drag on for so long. His entire arc is about wondering whether he’s bi/gay because he likes a girl who dresses as a boy.

Another issue is how slow the relationships progress (if they even progress at all???). There isn’t a single real confession in the entire anime, and no official couple, even though you can tell from the first episode who is meant to end up with whom.

The anime could have been wholesome if these problems were fixed. Also, I think it would have been better for this type of anime to wait for the manga to be completed and adapt everything in one season. That way, the pacing would have been faster, avoiding getting stuck on a character’s story (one I don’t even like) and finally allowing some character development.

We’re not even sure if there will be a season 2, since this first season adapted 6 out of 8 volumes. So IF there is a season 2, it will take a loooong time.

I liked the idea of this show, at least what I thought the idea was: a romance where the girls are tomboys. Tomboys rule and aren't usually very well represented, so I thought it could be fun.

Instead what I got was a bunch of tropes and repeated jokes for 12 episodes straight, but now they're "crossdressing themed".

This show accentuates by a lot the problems I have with anime not accepting gay people in our society as something normal. There are ENTIRE EPISODES dedicated to Hagi (this show's most annoying character) just worried if he's gay because he's attracted to a women who cross dresses. He's ... such a good example of how anime thinks how funny a dude being gay is.

Besides all that this is just one more painfully generic show that does not even try to explore characters besides seeing them in slice of life, and for a slice of life show, there are a whole lot better you can do.

Also the show has a non-ending, literally just stops in the middle, and I have my doubts about the existence of a season 2
