* Features a MONDO track surface with hydraulically controlled banked curves.  The 200-meter hydraulic banked track is one of only four of its kind in the United
States. It also features dual pole vault / jumping runways and throwing areas.
* The 140,000-square-foot facility includes weight training and sports medicine facilities, eight locker rooms, and equipment storage facilities.
* Seating for over 750 spectators is available during volleyball matches and wrestling duals.
* A Taraflex volleyball court was installed in time for the start of the 2021 season.
* The facility is named after Lt. Cmdr. Wesley A. Brown, USN (ret.), the first African American midshipman to graduate from the United States Naval Academy in 1949.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (May 10, 2008) Retired Lt. Cmdr. Wesley Brown, center, the first African-American graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, helps cut the ribbon on the Wesley Brown Field House. The state-of-the-art, 140,000 square foot athletic facility is named in his honor. Brown graduated from the Naval Academy in 1949, and served in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps for 20 years.
