Collection Notice

NETBALL AUSTRALIA PRIVACY COLLECTION NOTICE 

The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) sets out a number of principles that Netball Australia Limited ACN 003 142 818 (Netball Australia) and each Australian Netball Organisation (as defined in our Privacy Policy) (ANO) must comply with in the collection, security, storage, use and disclosure of personal information.  These principles are known as the Australian Privacy Principles. 

When used in this Collection Notice, depending on the context, “we 1�7, “our 1�7 and “us 1�7 refer to NA and/or the ANO. 

PURPOSE OF COLLECTION AND USE 

Your personal information is being collected by Netball Australia and/or the ANO, and includes: 

1.   your name; 

2.   your contact information, such as your mobile, email address and postal address; 

3.   your date of birth, age, gender; 

4.   school, if applicable;  

5.   parent / guardian, if applicable; 

6.   details of all netball participation registrations; 

7.   details of all netball competition registration information, such as clubs and teams played with; 

8.   playing statistics (where advanced scoring is undertaken and playing statistics are being captured); 

9.   other information you elect to provide, such as disability, languages spoken at home, if you identify as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander, country where parents born, favourite Super Netball Club.  

If you fail to provide us with all or part of the personal information we require, we may be unable to: 

   - process your registration, enabling you to have an account on our registration system 

   - communicate with you properly or deliver our products and services to you 

We collect personal information for the purposes listed below and as set out in our Privacy Policy: 

1.   providing products and services you request from us; 

2.   engaging with you and sending communications about our programs and competition participation; 

3.   personalising and improving user experience on our digital platforms; 

4.   carrying out consumer profiling and market research;  

5.   raising your awareness of opportunities and special offers, such as introducing you to Super Netball, Australian Diamonds, tournament tickets, sponsor offers.  

DISCLOSURE 

We may disclose your personal information to third parties for the same purposes as we collected it such as to our service providers we engage to carry out business support functions or activities on our behalf - our National Insurance Provider, for example. 

OVERSEAS DISCLOSURE

For data hosting and redundancy purposes, we may disclose your personal information to third parties located overseas, including countries in the European Union, the United Kingdom, United States, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore or Israel. Please contact our Privacy Officer if you require further details.
