Norad - The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation
Norad is an administrative and specialist body for development cooperation and supports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Climate and the Environment in achieving the goals of Norwegian development policy and promoting sustainable development. The UN's sustainability goals, climate goals and human rights form the basis of Norad's work. Norad is based in Oslo and has around 320 employees.
Information meeting on Guarantees for renewable energy investments in low- and middle-income countries
This is the second information session Norad is hosting, to shed light on the application process and respond to questions. The call for proposals is open for applications from banks, funds and financial institutions, specialised entities focusing on guarantees, and individual projects and/or companies.

Hydropower plant contributing to cheaper and more reliable electricity in East Africa
This year, a hydropower plant was put into operation at Rusumo Falls, with aid from Norway. With a capacity of 80 megawatts, which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of more than half a million households, the hydropower plant makes an important contribution to clean and stable energy in Burundi, Tanzania and Rwanda.
