I've used many cloud storage solutions in strange and unusual ways. IceDrive has worked consistently for the past 3 years, and I have certainly got my money's worth out of it.
Of the few times I have needed to contact support, they were quick to respond and transparent with their answers.
Globally I like this application, it's simple and easy to use.
There are two things I've already asked Icedrive and still had no answer, they are:
Have a desktop extension to have direct access via the PC or Mac file browser and a media player, right now it's very annoying to listen to music from Icedrive we need to select the next music, it doesn't jump automatically.
I use a PC and a laptop and work on projects on both interchangeably. This makes saving my work to a network drive crucial, and it has to be reliable. In the past, I used the MS option—while I never used the Office 365 package included, it was always clunky and uncomfortable to use. Icedrive is simple and keeps exactly the promise that OneDrive makes. You download an app, choose a plan, connect, click "Mount," and you have your network drive. No complications, no shenanigans.
Plus: If you use LibreOffice (instead of Word, Excel, etc.), you don't have to download the file to open it.
The only downside: If you work on one file across different computers, you have to delete the cache files manually 17 but that is not really a pain point.

Ho acquistato un piano a vita dopo aver sperimentato il periodo di prova sia di Icedrive che di altri servizi inCloud. Devo dire che mi trovo bene in quanto apprezzo le sue funzioni ed i continui miglioramenti che vengono apportati al software di gestione dei files, oltre al fatto che l'assistenza tecnica risponde velocemente alle domande poste. Avrei dato volentieri 5 stelle come giudizio, tuttavia alcune funzioni fondamentali ancora non sono presenti da app android e/o da client web:
- supporta solo la lingua inglese e non esistono altre localizzazioni, nel mio caso la lingua italiana
- non supporta i fili MIDI in riproduzione
- non apre i files BMP, DOC, XLS, PPT, URL
- se viene scelto un ordinamento di files o cartelle questo viene impostato a tutti i files e cartelle, e non solo alla cartella che si sta utilizzando, lo trovo molto fastidioso
-in app android non è possibile condividere direttamente files tramite mail, whatsapp, telegram etc
- l'app android non visualizza la foto del proprio account, mentre in web si vede regolarmente
Spero che prossimamente vengano colmate anche queste lacune. Grazie per l'attenzione.

Excellente connectivité, simple, rapide, fiable peu importe la machine utilisée ! le partage est parfait, l'interface est agréable, l'upload est très rapide !

Chose this as an alternative to Dropbox which worked perfectly, but became relatively expensive and onedrive which fell over when you use too many folders. DB was much easier to manage regarding syncing - I found Icedrive more difficult to use in that respect

Ik vind de ondersteuning voor gebruik op mijn Apple PC minimaal. Zo vind ik geen app om mijn bestanden gemakkelijk in te zien, laat staan foto's makkelijk te doorzoeken.
I find the support for use on my Apple PC minimal. For example, I can't find an app to easily view my files, let alone search through photos.

Mooie cloud opslag, maar het gebruikers gemak vind ik tegenvallen. Na een paar jaar gebruik, heb ik mijn abonnement stop gezet en ben ik overgestapt op iets anders. Het aantal bugs werd me te veel.

I have tried numerous online backup services, and Icedrive has proved to be the best so far, though it is a little expensive. Files upload and download quickly, and the dashboard layout is very intuitive and easy to use.

La copia sul cloud è ragionevolmente rapida, in nessun caso ha reso inutilizzabile la navigazione, il piano lifetime che ho scelto è molto conveniente, la possibilità di criptare le cartelle senza costi aggiuntivi sempre apprezzata, ma la cosa che mi ha colpito è stato il continuo aggiornamento dell'app sia Windows che Android, il miglioramento quanto a velocità e funzionalità è impressionante

Purchased a lifetime plan as I needed a robust file hosting service for my work and personal documents. Very easy to use, no fuss and no overly complicated controls. The mobile app is also very easy and straightforward. I have not used the desktop app yet.
I would highly recommend them.

I bought more than a year ago a lifetime plan of 3 TB and I am very happy with that: Icedrive is super fast and super reliable, zero problems at all. This is exactly what I need and expect from a cloud repository. Maybe for further improvement, I suggest to have more possibilities of preview of files before downloading, have the possibility to categorize files (photos for example) and above all have online synch (now you download file, modify and need to re-upload that).

Nemt og ligetil datalager i skyen. Med den nye opdatering er alt blevet lidt mere strømlinet. Kan kun anbefales herfra.

I am a lifetime user but the app is very bad compatible with iOS, the app no upgraded almost one year.

Hi there,
While we agree the iOS app hasn't been getting enough attention, the issue recently has been due to our company move to Gibraltar, combined with the holiday season - causing the transfer to be delayed as there is backlogs at Apple HQ.
We have made a big update to the iOS app which addresses a whole host of reported issues - We are just waiting for our new business entity (IcePrivacy) to be accepted into the Apple Appstore. We hope this will be within a few weeks now the holiday period has subsided.

Got the 3TB Lifetime a few years back and love it. I can put everything into my Encrypted folder for more security. The upload rate is a little slow, but it does the job. Other than that the Windows and Android apps work very well. I also use the Sync folder option for spreadsheet and pics and such.

I have been with Icedrive for a few months now. I recently switched to a lifetime plan. I like that I have everything saved in different folders and I feel everything is safe there. I just wish my uploaded of video's went a little faster.
