We met Lliwen at the baby expo, where she gave a seminar on Hypnobirthing. I could see her passion for women and birth, and I knew immediately that I had to team up with her. At 22 weeks, I signed up for her Empowered Birth course. I had a high-BMI pregnancy, and from the start of my prenatal appointments, I was being prepared and groomed for interventions. Even though I had no history of high blood pressure and consistently remained within a normal range—and even after clearing tests for gestational diabetes—I was still being pushed to undergo more tests and scans. I knew it wasn’t right, but I didn’t know how to challenge them without seeming irresponsible. Lliwen gave me the confidence and resources to make informed decisions for myself and my baby. I learned to trust my intuition and believe that my body could do what I knew it was capable of. Two months ago, I gave birth to my beautiful 🌈 baby. My goal was to have a spontaneous, natural labor with no interventions, and, God willing, that is exactly what happened. I labored at home for four days, using the tools and techniques I had learned. It was a rollercoaster! My birth wasn’t textbook perfect, but I felt empowered every step of the way. I understood what was happening, I felt in control, and even when I didn’t, I was able to surrender to the experience and trust my birth team. Lliwen is down-to-earth and very personable. She is no-nonsense, which I loved! I appreciated that she provided an unbiased approach, ensuring that I was fully aware of all possible outcomes of pregnancy and birth—not just the ones I wanted to hear. Before taking this course, I was tense and scared. I didn’t know anyone who had a birth experience they weren’t traumatized by. Lliwen was the answer for me. Thank you, Lliwen!
