Scammer. I am also a contractor that Neil owes money. I’ve been calling him he never answer his calls, When he does decide to call back feeds me the same lies every week saying he will pay me and then you never hear from him. He is not ashamed to lie directly to you. Be warned!!!

He is a total scam. Don't Hire him for anytime.

AMD Cabinets and the team completed a few renovations and build projects across two of our properties. These included two bathroom renovations, converting a garage into a habitable space, and designing and building a carport.

Alexander and the team managed the projects end-to-end – from initial consultation, design, build, consent, council inspections, quality assurance etc. Each project was delivered on time, within the agreed scope and to a high standard. The areas where Alexander excels are his clear communication and meeting commitments and deadlines. He also has a calm and reassuring manner, which was needed when unforeseen things crop up. For example, during our garage conversion, some rot was identified on timber framing.

AMD Cabinet’s team pivoted and remediated this issue quickly and without too much impact on the budget. Another aspect that I want to call out is the team that are respectful and mindful of the noise. With hybrid ways of working, there was usually someone working from home.

The AMD Team kept the noise to a minimum, which was appreciated.

A new scamster in town. Jiang Ning who operates under the name Niel under AMD Cabintes/Renovations.
The business keeps changing its name as and when they get exposed.
Niel will tempt you with the cheapest quote and act trustworthy. As per the invoice you are required to pay 30% deposit. On the initial payment some work will be done and then you will be asked to pay remaining amount. Once that's paid, Niel will stop answering your calls and will not respond to your text messages. Even if he answers, he will make silly excuses blaming contractors. The poor contractors do not get paid as well and they will be told that the owner hasn't paid Niel. The job will be left as is for months and months and you will never hear back from Niel.
Few customers have taken him to court and soon there will be many. You call the customer care number, they will pen down your name and you will never hear back from them again. The business has a facebook page but the reviews are turned off. The day you post a comment, you will be blocked and all comments will be deleted.
Have found the below facebook page for people to turn up and share their experiences so that it reaches wider audiences. For anyone who's been cheated by Niel, please do share your experiences so that this guy can be put behind bars soon.

AMD Cabinets/Renovations scam

I did work as sub-con to AMD cabinets on Epson site which own by Ajit.
When I completed my work, Ajit and his wife keep on looking something that need to be done and outside the work agreement without payment. He wanted to change his shower cubicle into a bigger size but does not want to pay.

I can confirmed that I don't have any issues with AMD Cabinets
I am also aware that his kitchen was delivered but progress work were paused for not paying the invoice.

There was also an event that Ajit called me and asked to complete installation of GIB drywall and he never informed me that they were on Isolation as his wife been tested Covid. I was only informed by AMD cabinets of their situation on the next day when I reported about the work completed. As a result, I have to self isolate and I can not blame AMD as I did not informed Niel that I will be going onsite upon Ajit's request who called me directly risking my health for their own benefit.

SCAM artist at AMD Kitchen Cabinets

Hired AMD Kitchen Cabinets to do a full kitchen job, only ever saw the main guy Neil Perez this one time for measurement
they took 50% deposit and initially he was working out of an office in Onehunga and then disappeared. the main guy who we were dealing with was "Alexander Niel Perez"

he took payment from us and then installed only the base of cabinets then requested a further 30% progress payment.

when asked why they wanted a further payment when job had not been completed Neil referred to the terms and the conditions of the contract which stated that they could ask for a progress payment if they wanted. the issue for us was the contract main notes clearly stated that 50% deposit was to be given on the time of agreeing to the quote and remainder on completion of the cabinets.

Neil is very tricky with his words and said that the base cabinets were completed and they needed the 30% further payment to pay for rest of materials

he then told the contractors he had hired that we weren't paying for the job

contractors then halted the work. i showed contractors proof that we had paid but they said just pay the other 30% and we can continue

we then paid the other 30% and they progressed. we thought this was the end of it but it was not. they then went on to delay our work multiple times and each time the contractors whether electrician or plumber or kitchen installer they would keep telling us that he said we haven't paid him

Our job which was initially paid for in January did not start for many months and even when it did it was not completed

we paid for 95% of the full payment in the hopes that the work would progress and complete. it never did

I am hearing from the contractors too that they experienced this with him many times and he has been taken to court too

this review is a warning as I can't find anything online to let people know this is going on
