I bought an expensive SSD hard drive from Bestbuy.ca and a day later I found the same drive on the SSD brand's Canadian web store cheaper. I requested Bestbuy.ca for a price match but the customer rep. told me it's not the same model number because BestBuy adds "?" at the end of the model number. This is absolutely ridiculous. The model numbers I'm comparing are the exact same except BestBuy includes a typo that adds "?" to the string of numbers. I think BestBuy adds "?" at the end of product numbers to purposely not honour their price matching policy.

The best buy app only allows you to enter a max of 2 gift cards. I received 3 gift cards for Xmas and wanted to purchase a product available online only. The chat person couldn't/wouldnt apply a 3rd gift card to my order. Customer service told me I had to cancel the order, go into a store, merge my gift cards, then order online again. Seriously!!! NO MORE BEST BUY GIFT CARDS for me. Way too much trouble. This particular item, a guitar amp, is the same price everywhere. You just lost a customer. Why go through the trouble?
I went bought a Microsoft surface laptop from best buy in December. It is boldly written on the receipt that I'm allowed to change the laptop if I am not pleased and the only reason I took the laptop because I wanted to get an Asus brand but all the laptops I requested were not available then. I bought on a plan. The best buy staff told me several times that i have until 12th January to return it. Alas! I went back for an exchange on the 5th of January but I was told that because I bought it on a plan, I have 30 days to return which elapsed a day or two before that actual day. This information was never communicated to me on that day. I'm so disappointed, they apologized saying the staff is new, forgetting that your sales reps are your agent and you are obliged to whatever promises they make.

Bought a tv for my daughter on cyber Monday, on the 29th their shipper claimed was on the truck. Bestbuy have no idea where the tv is and their shipper Purolator claims the address is wrong!
Has stupidity or inefficiency reach new levels!
Have asked for a refund as have no item, who knows when that will be as they have not replied to two of my previous queries done on their site from the contact us option.

To bad can't go less than 1 star. The Orillia store is awful and the woman supervising today is a disgrace to all businesses. I own a business, and as such have previously(never again) made many purchases at Best Buy in Orillia, ON. I went into store, ended up asking for help finding a part I need. Young salesman helped,very informed and polite. I took my purchase to the main check out, was next in line when this woman sent me to the service desk to check out. I argued I was next and she said they would not take long. So off I go to the service desk where I wait, and then I am joined by another shopper who was also told to move over. He was not impressed either. She must have realized her request was a mistake as she ended up opening a till at the service desk check us out. I am buying one item for $9.99 and she tells me $16 something and I said no it was clearly marked on the self as $9.99. So end up taking her over to the area it was from, and showed her. She tore the tag off said it was marked wrong and it was 16.99. There is a policy against this and it should have been the price it said. She said was the wrong tag, not the correct item, even though many others were also there . I ended up paying the larger price, and leaving angry. I have spent the last month trying to pick out a large curved TV. and had looked at the one at Best Buy and decided it would be the one we would buy as a family gift for Christmas, NOT NOW. Told her her ignorance has cost Best Buy a $2000.00 plus sale and will not go there again. I plan on posting this review in our waiting room. Hopefully can create dialogue with customers about this store and this nasty person.

I will never purchase anything from best buy again.
Word of warning- if you are purchasing an extended warranty check the expiration date on your receipt. As most warranties will run consecutively and kick in after the manufacturer's date expires, Best buy does not it runs concurrently and one day over the expiry you are SOL, They will tell you otherwise to get the sale, however. And that stinks
Not impressed with the customer service.

Called Best Buy customer service 30 min after I ordered this camera to add on a camera case. Was refused by customer service, saying this camera has been "shipped". Really?!?! I have to pay extra shipping costs to add on a camera case? How is this possible, that the camera had been shipped at 6pm, PT, on a holiday (remembrance Monday).
I was not even given the option to have the case shipped to the store closest to me to pick up without a delivery charge. REALLY?? I was so mad I went to Facebook to post my experience on all their posts. But of course I was blocked after less than a min. Never going to Best Buy again. Such liars.

Something isn't right at Best Buy - think twice before ordering online!
Today Best Buy cancelled my delivery without notice. When contacted, they initially claimed my credit card company cancelled for fraud purposes. After confirming this was NOT the case with MasterCard, I called back, and after numerous call disconnects was advised that Best Buys Fraud Department cancelled the delivery, and I will be waiting 7 days for a refund. They've already had my money for 5 days. Is Best Buy in financially difficulty? This was the weirdest experience with absolutely no reason for not deliverying except Best Buy couldn't deliver the product. I advised to think twice before using their online services now. Something isn't right at Best Buy.

Best Buy Appliance Delivery Service Is anything but Concierge. In fact there is no Concierge department.
I am here to warn people against using Best Buy for appliance. You as a customer are there last concern. This is not my first issue with online services. I ordered refrigerator BestBuy 2 weeks ago today. I chose Best Buy not because of the price, it was the same price at many retailers. They promise a call the same day if you order before 7 pm. No call. I called the next day to find the earliest deliver time was Saturday September 23 2017 I made it clear the door handle had to be switched from the left side to the right side. Fridge arrived 40 minutes before the assigned delivery window. The driver made it clear he had no intention to switch the handle and I made it clear I would not sign for delivery. I thought he reluctantly agreed at that point to do it. They took the handle off showed it to me and said Best Buy did not pack the part needed. Note they do not work for Best Buy they work for Go Logistics. After they left I found the part needed in the fridge door.
They either never intended to switch it or did not know how.
It took me 4 calls to Best Buy to get someone out the following Friday. On Wednesday I also states I want The $50 moving fee refunded.
Two workers showed up on Friday again half hour before the 3 hour window provided.They switched the handle and stated the job was done and left for the elevator. Immediately trying the handle I found the door was wobbly and did not open/close properly. I was able to catch them at the elevator. They came back and reinstalled in reading the instruction manual. They told me they forgot to change the bottom Hinge.
Today I called to enquire about the $50 refund. I spoke to Tammy who escalated me to her supervisor Rikki. Both these workers were fantastic. But they couldn’t do anything. They acknowledge seeing the request from last Wednesday. But only Head Office can deal with this. Head Office cannot be contacted by phone by their own call center staff. SHAME ON YOU BEST BUY. My issue is now with head office. I don’t know if Shannon Kidd still works there. But years ago she promised changes.
Rikki told me there is a 3 day window for head office to reply and that she has done all that she can. I advised Rikki I had enough and if Head Office can’t reply my next step is to post on the internet. I did not originally ask for a store credit but yes one might be nice. What I would like to know is why do you continue to isolate from the front line staff. I am not a happy customer whatsoever and will encourage people to shop elsewhere. My Best Buy order number is 577610176.

Hello, so i just got off 40 min phone call with geek squad, to find out i took 12 hours of work to drive 5 hours each way from isloated site to fort mcmurray to pick up 18 day late phone replacement. When i was told it would take 3 days. Than to be on hold for supervisor / manager to get hung up on, and no call back. To get a empty box in mail! No call, no voice mail.
There is no best buy here in fort mcmurry, and thats not my address that was where i needed phone sent! Not a empty box.
So who is paying for my 18 days with out phonr and 10 more till i get to a city that has a best buy. ?
- who is paying my days wage 800$?
- whose paying my overages on my telus account of 8 g because this phone is gliching out. 230$?
Was in fort Mcmurray working paid a driver 6 hours to go pick up new phone and received empty box. Look in junk email to get a gift card from Best Buy! To bad fort McMurray does not have a b st buy. 10 more hours of driving do phone!
Best Buy and geek squad can not provide Samsung customer good service, nor Telus mobility! I am I'll be sending this to Telus and Samsung too.

Horrible service
Horrible service. Ordered an item that was advertised as "will be shipped within 4 days". Two weeks later, still no item. Tried to contact the company....they make it virtually impossible to do by email. On hold on the phone for 37 minutes before I finally talked to someone. All I got was an apology and "we are out of stock, we don't know when it will be in", even though the website shows that it is in stock. Will not buy from here again.

Great place to buy 3DS video games …
Great place to buy 3DS video games from. I managed to get a couple of amazing deals recently.. games that sell for $60 else where and got them brand new off BestBuy for $30 each + free shipping. They sold out QUICK though. Shipped instantly w/ Canada Post tracking number.. no problems at all.
So, I would say BestBuy is great for small consumer goods. might be risky for bigger items though.

Disappointing in many aspects
Disappointing in many aspects. Had repeated issues processing my order via credit card, although I never have problems and do use this card elsewhere for online purchases. Credit card company told me their system had flagged this transaction as a fraud for whatever reason. I verified with them this wasn't the case as I did it myself. BB's system took several days (4) to finally process the order, it took them 3 attempts! Some rep on their side replied like a robot to my emails instead of actually taking care of things in a "humanoid" way. And now it seems the order finally succeeded even though I told them (by email) "forget it cancel the order please". Oh well, I hope at least the product arrives normally and all's fine. Would definitely tell others to avoid...

When a sale is an opportunity to charge more
A few things. I bought an Acer notebook computer at their store in Langley, BC before Xmas, and the salesperson said if I brought the receipt back on boxing day, if the price was less they'd refund the difference. I did but the price was $30 more on boxing day and it had a yellow card so people would think it was on sale. I questioned this and was told it was on sale before, but I know it wasn't.
Buying the second one was weird. First we were told they didn't have any in stock. We left and came back and asked again. They had 2 in stock but they were open boxes. We left and came back and asked again. They were in stock and it wasn't open box. Same day, I'm not making this up.
Trying to pay was funny too. The sales person said it would take too long at the front register so he tried to complete the sale at a computer at the back. Two computers he couldn't get to work - one wouldn't boot and the other froze. These guys are supposed to be the "experts" right? I'd never take a computer there for repair if they can't even fix their own.

BESTBUY.CA IS VERY DISAPPOINTING
i bought a sofa online on black friday but it never delivered. After 1 week I checked the order status but the status is 'canceled'. This is without any notification.
I contacted the customer service by phone then he said that they will investigate and contact me later.
by email Bestbuy explain that the transaction was canceled because my creditcard denied the transaction.
So I called Tangerine mastercard and the customer service said nothing wrong with my card.
She said the transaction was not complete yet. This is weird, if the transaction is not complete, why did Bestbuy sent me order number by email???
then I informed this to Bestbuy. Then their reply was about billing info. They said my billing info in the order is different with credit card billing info.
OMG.... I've checked everythings are same.
why Bestbuy is so stupid? If you are not good in technology, do not open online store and do not sell technology product!!!!!!

I have had very little good experience with them
From customer services, to condition of shipped items. They are consistently disappointing and hard to deal with. You can wait up to 45 minutes to get help with something, the one package I got from them 2 out of 4 boxes were smashed and returns and price matching is a pain. They don't seem to want business.

Don't waste your time
Repair shop in store has no clue what they are doing!!, ask them to install a wifi adapt. in my Mothers computer to help with siginal, after they said that they installed everything, she brought it home and it was so much worse, and they did not even remove or disable the other connections as asked!! and then i was told to have the geek squad come to her house to fit it, called and they wanted $110.00 just to show up!! what a joke!!!,
best but to me should just go out of business, as they only rip people off or at least try to!!!

So, so.
Bestbuy is big and does well doing what it does but so much is missing. What? Selection, selection, selection - its only just so, so. They bought Futureshop and eventually closed it down. Now that they are not competing with themselves, sometimes in the same mall, they need to step it up and become the place you can find most anything electronic. This goes for their stores and on the net.
The only thing I ever find there is what I expect.

Most of the time I would go to best buy there was the same problem that they were not enough customer representatives and took to long for someone to come help me with my purchases. The store would be half dead and would have to walk all over the store for someone. It is just frustrating,
