Our 15 year old Glen Of Imaal Terrier became very picky with his food, this coupled with a gastro intestinal problem led to weight loss. Despite changing his food to supposedly very palatable tinned food of various types he soon lost interest after a couple of days. Our vet suggested Butternut Box as many of her clients were pleased with the food. Right from his first tasting he was very keen and so far after 10 days or so he remains so. When we next weigh him at the vet hopefully he will have gained some weight. The service from BB was excellent.

Excellent food, my dogs love it and bowel movements have improved. Slightly more expensive than their previous canned and kibble food but worth it. Good selection as well.

Our poodle-based pooch, Dusty, is a fussy eater. A friend is a Bnutter and their dog loves the food and has an amazing shiny coat. So, after the latest upturned nose, we've bought into the Butternut approach. 2 sachets in (a turkey and a beef) mixed with some of his old food, he can't wait to hoof it down. In his 2.5 years he's never been so keen to attack his food bowl. A fabulous start!

I recently lost my dog Daisy and had to stop my subscription. When I told the team about losing my dog I received a lovely card and beautiful flowers which really meant a lot to me. Thank you so much for your kindness. I now have my dog Nancy on the butternut diet and she absolutely loves it.

This is excellent quality and smells delicious . I only gave 4 stars because my 2 pugs won’t eat it. I have tried for 4 days with different packets but they just won’t eat it . I’m gonna have to cancel my deliveries but don’t let thud put you off it’s an excellent brand and should appeal to most dogs except my 2 . Just a shame

Smaller boxes needed.

Food good
Dog loves it.
You have to buy 28 pkts too many, which makes it expensive cost £77.
Need to do smaller boxes, for smaller dogs, and keep the cost down.

Was great till xmas

Was great until today. Over Christmas my dogs are starving as they have “moved my delivery”. I pay £102 per week for my 2 dogs and this is how they treat them over Christmas. The only time shops are shut to get food.

Good but pricey

A quality food that I've just started my westie on as his had some constipation issues hopefully this natural food will help him. He loves it. My first starter box was just over £20 for 14 days then my next box will be £46 for the month then I've looked at the next subscription date and it goes up again to £60 for the month. £46 a month i can just about afford £60 is a bit much for dog food which means I will unfortunately have to cancel and look elsewhere.

Hi Gavin,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re delighted your little westie is enjoying our meals.

As our food contains a moderate amount of good quality fibre, we hope this will be enough to keep things moving and encourage healthy stools.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding price. The first two boxes our customers receive are discounted and then the price after that is the regular price.

However, we would love to offer some support here so if you contact us directly on bark@butternutbox.com, we can take a loot at your plan and see if there is anything we can do to make it more cost effective.

Hope you and your little westie have a very happy and peaceful New Year.

Kind woofs,
Con

Insist on using poor delivery companies

Butternut once again have let us down with their failure to disclose that our deliveries are now being made by Yodel and not DPD. We have explicitly begged them to publish who they use and on what days so that we can ensure that we don't have deliveries after midnight. Massive failure once again.

Fantastic

Absolutely brilliant! My dog loves the meals and I've noticed such a difference in his energy and coat. Feels great knowing he's eating proper food and the delivery makes life so much easier

Half starved // butternut box

These portions are terrible for any poor dog.
Leaves the dog underfed and hungry all the time .
My dog was attacking the measly piece of food in his bowl .
The poor dog was starving on butternut box
It’s Just enough to keep the dog alive .
Tiny portion’s !!!
You can easily make this food yourself , boil mince or chicken carrots and peas . Whatever you think is healthy.
Butternutbox seemed to use rosemary in everything??
Throw in herbs if you want , Bag and freeze .
It will be a fraction of the price.
At least your dog will get properly fed with decent portions .
This company should be reported for promoting the under feeding of dogs .
My dog was literally starving on these portions .
Dog lovers will do anything for our dogs . Butternut box is taking the piss !
Dont be fooled by them . It’s a racket !
Poor dogs feeling hungry all day ! And half starved . Its despicable !!
Don’t buy this food for your dogs , you at being robbed and your poor dog will suffer with hunger . They won’t die but they will be half fed .
If only dogs could talk !!
It’s all and only about sales , they even have people calling to door selling butternutbox . So annoying!!
Just take a few minutes each week to
make a pot of food for your dog .it sooo easy . Just freeze or keep in a container in the fridge.
You’ll save a fortune over the year .
Happy new year and Godbless .

Quality food, great customer service and socially responsible firm

I've been using it for a month now and highly recommend it. It's dog food that looks like real food and is delicious and nutritious. The communication from Butternut is excellent. Customer service is friendly, helpful and positive. I asked a lot of questions before I signed up and they answered all of them without any heavy sales pitch. It's easy to make adjustments to the serving size for each meal and the quantity/frequency of deliveries. The food is easy to serve (just cut open the packet and it slides out easily)- no sticky spoon or fork to wash. The food doesn't stink up the kitchen like some dog foods because it's real food.

Amazing food! Thank you butternutters ❤️

Swapped over from pure to this as my girl was getting a little too skinny and wow! She literally bounces around waiting for her meal every morning and night! I have 2 dogs on the plan and they both normally have really sensitive stomachs, this has made their poos the firmest ever and no more upset tummy’s.
The food looks delicious and smell Devine. Could see myself eating this 😁🤣 Thank you butternut!

Butternut Box is incredible

Butternut Box is incredible. Not only dies my fussy little pomchi love the food, but their customer service and extra services available included with your monthly food bill, is above and beyond.

Specifically, they have helped me with weight loss for my dog, giving me specific instructions of amounts in food and allowing for extra treats.

When my dog was a puppy they ran an online video puppy party, with loads of helpful hints and tips covering a wide range of possible situations.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. Shiny coat, healthy poos for 2 years now, and nothing left in the bowl to throw away.

Many thanks to the team at butternut Box for the service they so wonderfully give 🙏🐕
