Monty is a five year old, terrier rescue, and he’s a very fussy feeder. Because of this I’ve been cooking his food from scratch every day.
A friend with three terriers suggested I give Butternut a try and yesterday it arrived.
I read the booklet that mentioned ‘transitioning’ from his regular food but I needn’t have worried.
Although early days and only being on his third meal, it already seems to be going down well - literally.

My Lab Retriever was on Butternut for a while but I noticed that she would quite often suffer from the squitter's, especially first thing. So I switched to Cotswold Raw and the problem went away. But just recently I switched back to Butternut, partly because I prefer the 400g packs to the 500g that C/Raw provide, but unfortunately the squitter problem has returned.
It's a shame because everything else (web site, range, delivery, pricing, etc) is all good.
Absolutely love this service, I have cerebral palsy so the fact I can get healthy food delivered to my door and have a monthly supply is such an amazing gift to me, as its an ordeal for me to get to the shops! my puppy absolutely loves it she devours it never lasts more than 2 minutes in her bowl … good poops and no horrendous smell! I wish it was around for my previous angel Chester I know he would have loved it too. So much variety in flavours my pup is fed better than myself with butternut box

I’ve been feeding my dogs Butternut Box for a few months now, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The meals are made with fresh, natural ingredients, and I choose exactly what comes each month. I’ve noticed improved digestion, a shinier coat, and increased energy. The convenience of having pre-portioned meals delivered straight to my door is brilliant, and it’s really easy to store in the freezer. It’s definitely more expensive than standard dog food so I mix with dry food at each meal. The quality and how much my dog enjoys it make it worth every penny.

My dog used to have to get allergy injections once a month, but switching her to butternut has cleared up her allergies. We’ve been using butternut for 4 years now. She loves the food and it’s perfectly portioned to keep her in perfect shape.

I like the ease in which you can choose your Butternut food for your fur baby, and such a wonderful choice. It was delivered when it said it would be, packaging was brilliant and well insulated and a small ice pack to keep the food frozen. I was well impressed with this.

what can I say but thankyou so much friend's genuinely. Foxy absolutely loves every meal and is licking the bowl clean every bowl every flavour outstanding job and a great selection of meat and vegetables she is so fussy we have tried so many food's over the years but can’t beleive the difference in her she's so happy and much more excited about mealtimes even more then when I cook for her 😄 😊 Thankyou so much again 10/10 Glad to be part of the family. First, when it arrived I was surprised that there was a lot of meals (I had got the starter pack). When I saw the vegetable bits I thought no way is my dog going to eat that! I have tried everything to get her to eat vegies. I have been giving her scrambled eggs, fish, lamb, beef, chicken and pork (from supermarket - human food) and she is fussy. She will not eat any tinned food and only eats dry food if she thinks it is a treat. I warmed up the butternut box food and right away, as soon as I opened the pack an amazing aroma hit me. My dog came over and sat as if she was waiting for some, watching the hob with intensity. So, I had to taste it (who wouldn't) out of curiosity. Anything that smells that good cannot be awful tasting. I can honestly say it tasted great. I have had food in restaurants that did not taste this good! (of course I have no intention of eating it) but I was quite happy to feed that to my dog but how did she react? She loved it! Thank heavens I no longer have to worry that she needs more vegetables. I am definitely continuing with butternut box and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed. As an ex-chef, I was very impressed.

Sales team are incredibly rude.
I had a call from the Butternut Box sales team. Very unimpressed. I said I wouldn’t be able to afford it initially, they continued to try and convince me and at the end I repeated once again that I wouldn’t be able to afford it to which your sales team said “you’re not willing to spend a little more on your dog to give it a healthier diet?� And then hung up on me. No I absolutely am not. The cost of living is high and I can just about afford to keep our heating on. I do not appreciate calls such as this and will now not consider putting my dog on your food due to the rude nature of your sales team.Call came from 01392 971869.

My dog being a fussy eater I was left having to cook her food which could sometimes be a bit time consuming so came across butternut box and she absolutely loves it! We have had no problems with her eating food at all. You can customise your order so if you notice your pup loves one flavour of food more than another you can swap it or if you want to try something new you can just order the one pouch in with your order rather than me left with loads of something your pup will not eat. You also get a discount when you join and order your first box and you also get a photograph of your dog with a welcome message through the post which is a nice little touch, I highly recommend that anyone with a fussy eating dog to give this a go. We have been using butternut box since July 2024 and haven’t looked back!

I just wanted to woof a big thank you butternut for giving my mummy the best pawww licking din din’s!! I got wail wagging excited when the box arrived and woof also got some goodies with it. Mummy was excited to try on the bandana and I was excited for all the different flavoured healthy din din’s and I can woof that I licked the bowl all clean to help mummy with the dishes! �

What a company. I didn’t have enough in my account to pay for the subscription. They send the food anyway and just asked nicely. Paid two days later. Meant the dogs still have their lovely food to scoff

Our puppies have been on butternut since arriving here! I know they are only 6 months now, but Butternut has been amazing - they love it! Had a little blip while teething, but that was to be expected. Best dog food EVER and smells delicious!
