The struts arrived on time and were well packaged. Fitting was easy after watching a few online videos and my wife holding the boot while I installed the first strut. Even with a heavy spoiler the tailgate opens with ease. The manufacturing and choice of materials seem good, matching if not exceeding the stock bmw struts. Very happy. (BMW 120d M sport xdrive F40)
Great product - simple to fit. For DIYers, you will need to remove the existing retaining clip on the ball part of the existing struts before attempting to prise them off. Clean off all of the old grease before fitting. Apply grease to the new struts before fitting. Use a rubber mallet to ensure ball joint is knocked all the way home. Try not to bend the new pins to drive them home. Have someone help you to keep the boot open during changeover. Thank you so much to the team for a fantastic product.

A great addition to my BMW M135i.
A great addition to my BMW M135i.
They have a notice on their site that says the boot may only open half way if the Mperformance spoiler is fitted.
This is not the case on mine and they work perfectly.
Very pleased with them.

The emerald experience is great rockstar treatment from the first purchase immediately contacted me and very nice product. I fitted the struts within an hour of them being delivered well in time from royal mail I will be buying off emerald again, impressed with there product.

Emerald Struts BMW F20 1 Series
The Emerald Struts for my BMW F20 1Series are excellent. I saw them by some other dude on YouTube and then i Ordered them, they Work just the same as shown on the Videos and are really simple to install, u just need a screwdriver and maybe a second person holding the boot. I expirienced a fast delivery and good quality, but the only Thing that borthered me was the including fee i got at my door at home. So if you order the same Product and live in the EU, you maybe have to Pay 32€ like me ontop of that price you ordered. Its a 5 Stars Product for me, I got what i wanted, and the next Time i buy a New car i am totally ordering Emerald Struts again!
