Absolute rubbish appliance

Absolute rubbish appliance. They supplied the wrong caps for the gas cook top and then blamed us? For a couple of years we struggled with an uncontrollable oven (again they blamed our cooking ability) when it was finally checked the thermostat was not installed correctly and they found multiple loose screws and striped threads on other parts, finally the thermostat was also not functional, they did eventually replace that. Less than 4 years old and the oven door is corroding terribly and was clearly never finished correctly the digital display fills with condensation making it unusable.

Never buy a Parmco appliance their service is non existent and they will do anything to avoid their obligations on their terrible appliances. Even if someone has a gun to your head you would be better to choose the bullet over spending a cent on years of misery at the hands of Parmco

Why in NZ permitted to import Parmco products?

We have had a parmco oven and dishwasher in our previous house.Bad luck we moved and alas a parmco dishwasher in new house. Bad buzz maximus. What a terrible expensive experience. Do not purchase any Parmco products ever. Its a disgrace to the company and as I see here not a single good review. If I could I wouldn't give one star. Going to move

I had the misfortune to purchase Parmco…

I had the misfortune to purchase Parmco appliances 12 years ago on the advice of the kitchen manufacturer. I had oven, gas hobs, rangehood and dishwasher. They. Would have to be the worst appliances I have owned in 50 years. The hobs were replaced twice in the first 12 months. the dishwasher I replaced after 3 years, the oven burns everything. The quality of the materials used is shockingI have just purchased a new oven, cooktop and rangehood of a well known brand (not Parmco)and can’t wait to have them installed.
I would advised anyone to stay well clear of these products.

Total crap oven

Total crap oven, door hinge collapsed after a couple of years, absolute garbage, I'm ashamed i didn't see how weak the door hinge is.

Bought this oven for $1.000 new 2years…

Bought this oven for $1.000 new 2years ago.Dont buy this brand.The elements are crap they have to be jiggled around to work sometimes.Guttless elements and as for the oven it takes for ever to get up to temperature.Cant believe they are still on the market,not recommended if you want a quality oven maybe use your barbecue.

NOT HAPPY

As an Electrician i have recommended & installed Parmco products in the past.
This time i ordered a spare part for a rangehood to carry out a repair. I supplied them with a model # and a serial # as they requested. When the part arrived i removed & dismantled the hood, to find that the new part was incorrect. When i brought this to their attention, they blamed everyone else. I then reassembled the hood & waited for the correct part to arrive. When asked if they would pay for my time to attend twice, i was told it was NOT THEIR PROBLEM !!!
As other posts have alluded to, they TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY once the sale has been completed.
I would not recommend them as a company to deal with.

Talked into multiple parmco appliances…

Talked into multiple parmco appliances for our new build. All are horrible. Rangehood and dishwasher are punishingly loud, pyrolitic oven doesn’t get hot enough to come close to self cleaning. The oven beeps every time you push a button but doesn’t beep when it reaches temperature. Parmco don’t appreciate any of our issues.

About 5 years ago I have done a New…

About 5 years ago I have done a New Kitchen and they installed Palmco extractor fan. Shortly after installed it stop working so it was replace. Now the lights are flickering. I contacted Palmco and they said it was out of warranty because they chose the first date. I said under the Consumer Guarantees and Fair trading act it should be replaced or fixed! They are breaching these acts and not fit for purpose as well. I do not recommend their products or service. Parmco you should be ashamed of yourself for happily stealing people's money from people. A good company will stand by their product.

Don't buy Parmco appliances

I bought a Parmco 5 gas burner and electric oven 10 years ago. First the fan stopped working, then oven thermostat replaced, all repairs done at my cost. Today, I prepared my Christmas cake and the oven has decided to stop working again. I'm in tears with frustration. Never again. With all the bad reviews I wonder how they are still allowed to be sold.

I have a parmco induction 5 hob cooktop…

I have a parmco induction 5 hob cooktop in a home I purchased .
Within 3 days of the two year warranty expiring the main middle hob blew.
It was replaced under warranty but still had to pay for the repairer. 9 months later blew again and after some back and forth when I was told I was actually not covered as I purchased the home not the cooktop myself I got the choice of new cook top for $1000 plus gst or free power board for blown hob.
Had no money chose the free option and now again it has blown . Three times in two years issues . Yes it is wired in correctly and yes I cook with my drawer open to ensure good air flow but the main hob keeps blowing and I am now unable to use it .
I am furious for a $1800 cook top that can’t even last four years let alone the two .
Would never ever buy parmco again I am furious to say the least.I would give it no stars if that was an option .

terrible products and even worse customer service

Spent thousands of dollars in a new kitchen with all new parmco appliances- so far the dishwasher has broken, the hob is leaking gas and now the oven fan element has blown up! My dealings with Parmco have been less than satisfactory- they take no responsibility for their terrible products and unless Placemakers comes to the party and refunds us, we will be taking legal action. Avoid this company and its products at all cost!

We had trouble with our dishwasher and…

We had trouble with our dishwasher and had one of their technicians came out to take a look, but by the time they actually came out the fault had cleared itself. The tech was at our house a a short time(10 mins) and left, we received a $200 bill for this..unbelievable.

poor quality, disgraceful support. avoid

Leaving aside the fact that the oven temp varies wildly, the numbers and symbols on the front disappeared withing 3 months, the handle on our oven snapped. Instead of replacing a $20 bit of aluminium they tripled down on refusing to replace it. Effectively dared us to go to the disputes tribunal. Total disgrace, flippant attitude and above all a rubbish oven. Avoid at all costs, take your money elsewhere. Joke of a company run by Muppets.

Rubbish oven,doesn’t even come with…

Rubbish oven,doesn’t even come with baking trays and the warming drawer is good for nothing,fits one pan only-wasted space and blown fuses three times already cos you can’t use both plugs at once and then it’s only good for jug or toaster,can’t plug a fryer or rice cooker into them-can’t even give the oven away-CRAP

Product was delivered with Manufacturer Defect

Product was delivered with Manufacturer defect. After installation we discovered the defect and immediately advised the supplier. This is a brand new item from the box and PARMCO are refusing to replace. They want to repair it. When I spoke with The Service Manager at PARMCO he told me that we should have inspected the Oven before installation and for that reason they wont replace but repair. As per their warranty card they can repair or replace but looks like they only want to repair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying products from PARMCO because they DO NOT STAND BY THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. This is very poor service from PARMCO.

Not worth the money, service to match

I recently purchased a Parmco FS-600 gas stove from Parmco as a replacement for the previous AR-600 when I moved house. Unfortunately it has turned out to be a piece of rubbish, and Parmco has provided service to match. The main issue is that the cooktop flame adjustment can only be made within one third of the control movement, which is not fit for purpose, but according to Parmco "is normal" for this model. So I can only advise others DO NOT BUY!!! The 7 year warranty is only there to draw you in, and they will find excuses to not fix any issues under warranty and charge you for the call-out. I should have learned when my Parmco dishwasher packed up. What a rubbish brand!
UPDATE:
Threw out the Parmco as my new Challenger Takahe all gas cooker was installed on Thursday. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Made me really realise what an absolute piece of junk the Parmco FS-600 was. To everyone out there ... if you're thinking gas, then get the Takahe, it's streets ahead!!
