Russell, one of the owners, was great to work with. He answered my questions prior to the purchase. I was able to send him a photo of my half-bath faucet and he confirmed that it would easily connect to the Shower Bay.
I set up the shower in my kitchen for my husband, who has Parkinson's Disease and cannot navigate the steep stairs to the second floor full bath in my 100-year-old Cape. I set up a bedroom in our dining room downstairs and this Shower Bay is in the kitchen next to the half bath. I was able to take my Shower Bay water hoses and install them right through a small hole in the wall into the half-bath so they come up behind the toilet and right into the sink. I never have to remove the hoses from the sink and I'm able to continue using my half bath just as before for myself and guests.
I store the ramp behind the shower unit because my husband does not need it yet. I keep the shower head on his left side because he is left-handed. He is able to easily walk onto the two-inch shower base and sit in the bath chair. If he ever requires full-time wheelchair use, I will then attach the ramp. The product is easy to use, well built, not cheap. The shower head feels good, just like a regular shower with the right amount of pressure, etc. My kitchen stays dry. I put a towel mat on the floor in front of the door for him to use when he's done. I believe putting the shower head on the side wall rather than the back helps keep the floor dry. It's a good product and saved me from having to install a much more expensive stair lift or having to renovate my half-bath.

My husband had ALS and confined to the first floor of our house. The ShowerBay allowed him to bathe daily, which significantly enhanced the quality of his life. It was easy to assemble and to operate. Russell was always just a phone call away and gave us peace of mind. ShowerBay solved what seemed like an intractable problem. We were fortunate to find it. Russell made our shower purchase experience an excellent one. He was very responsive and patient to the many questions we had prior to placing our order, made all the shipping arrangements and provided detailed information we needed to prepare our existing connections for setup. (Fitting sizes,hose lengths,etc) He also helped us make a last minute change to our order (permanent connection). In addition, the product is elegantly designed and very functional for the needs of our elderly father. Highly recommend this product.

I have nothing but respect for the Shower Bay product and Russell Simpkins. He defines incredible service after the sale, and goes out of his way to help his customers. The Shower Bay roll-in-shower gave my adult son his dignity back, his skin is clean & healthy, and has stood up to years of use! Everyone who sees the Shower Bay in my son’s room instantly loves it because it’s customized with NFL stickers from his favorite team & the matching towels compliment it’s looks. It’s exactly what he needed, simple for aging caregivers like us to operate, and maintain.

We have not gotten it out of the box yet. My wife has ALS and we are thinking this will be a phenomenal product for her to use. She currently can get a shower by herself but we are trying to stay ahead of the game. Support system has been phenomenal and Russell always answered any questions and did not pressure us at all to buy this piece of equipment.
