Placed an online order for dining chairs, waited ages, only a few turned up and then they cancelled the rest of the order as they didn't actually have that number of the chairs in the country. spent ages going back and forth and eventually they found another one but still not the right quantity. they wouldn't offer any further discounts or warranty. Now most of the chairs wobble and feel like the backrest part is coming away from the seat part. Poor quality product and terrible customers service. AVOID!

Certainly will not be ordering from briscoes online ever again. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have experienced such shoddy service. Lesson learnt. Note deliveries should take between 3-5 days non rural. I am auckland based!!!!

Bed Sheets
they can improve by not selling cheap products pretending to be expensive!
I bought some sheets from Briscoes, first time on the bed heaps of pulling!!!! I have a video of all the bits coming off the sheets.... and it's yuck!!!!

I'd give this business a zero rating if…
I'd give this business a zero rating if it was an option. And I should have checked their reviews especially regarding their click & Collect process because it's the worst I've ever experienced. And I do a lot of online ordering but never have I had this happen to me before. Similar to a couple of reviews listed I too thought click & Collect would be a faster option but alas I'm still waiting over a week now. I understand due to the holidays & sale periods there has been a high volume of sales causing a breakdown in their system but to keep giving a generic response to all my enquiries & to only offer the solution of a refund is poor service behaviour. After numerous phone calls,online enquiries & emails I get an email reply today with another generic response telling me I now have to wait another 5 to 7 business days for my order. I can see the items are available at another local store & I mention this to them previously, their response is I should cancel my order & go to that store to purchase them. Will I still get the said items at the discounted offer that I initially ordered online? I guess not because the item is no longer on sale. Disappointed & frustrated is an understatement of how I feel about dealing with this company right now.

Albany Store
Went to Albany store to buy mattress topper. They were on sale.. Great. Took to cashier and was told not on sale. Advised cashier sale brochure was there can she come and confirm. Told no, but will page someone. Didn't page anyone so went back to cashier. She showed a total lack of interest. Again requested assistance and eventually had someone confirm they WERE on sale. No apologies or anything. General comment for Albany store... needs more floor staff and certainly more customer service training. Why bother going there when Bed Bath and Beyond are around the corner

The worst click and collect I have ever…
The worst click and collect I have ever used in my life.
You enquire through email about your parcel - no reply. You contact them over the phone, they don't know anything, You go into their branch and ask the customer service where specific items are to be told to look for it myself because a staff member moved it and can't remembr where she put it and the items are small so your better off having a sniffer dog otherwise be prepared to play find a needle in a haystack through the whole entire store.

I like the website and the price of goods when on sale, however delivery of their goods is consistently woeful. Goods ordered 3rd December, sent in 4 packages with the last delivered on 30th December.

FALSE ADVERTISING
Did an online click and collect order on 22nd and website said order today and collect tomorrow. Needed items for Xmas. Went to store 5pm 23rd = no order. Could take a week!!!! FALSE ADVERTISING. And no communication advising delay. Very poor service.

No customer rights
I had a terrible experience at Briscoe. No customer rights policy and staff really rude. I got a birthday gift bought at Briscoes that I wanted to change. No staff was gentle or attentive to help me with the information of the price. After a lot persistence, I got the price. When I was at the cashier to change it, I was very rudely told that I could change that because I didn’t have the receipt. I explained that that was a gift and the staff told me that was nothing she could do. That I would have to keep that gift. This goes against all customer rights laws. Briscoes doesn’t work on good terms and is not trustworthy.

I ordered a large number of plates
I ordered a large number of plates, dessert plates, platter and serving dishes on line to be delivered.
These came in 8 separate boxes from different stores.
All items arrived very well packed and no breakages.
They took a few days to arrive but that did not concern me.
Thank you Briscoes. Well done😀

Did a click & collect store showed stock.
It showed available next day.
When arrived in store item was not there.
And now it shoes on my account as collected.
They advertising goods that are not there.
Happy to take your money.

Ordered online on 28 October and still waiting for the delivery on 14 November. I advise everybody to NOT buy online with this company as their courier service Team Global Express are horrible.

Don't shop online
Don't, I mean don't by online from Briscoes
Their stock levels mean the goods could come from a store in the other island.
The confirmation won't proceed until it's picked then packed say 2 days then it is transported on a snails back by the slowest courier company Aramex which is 2 days between islands
If your want you want to wait 8 or 9 days order or try elsewhere

Do not waste your time here
I’ve been to my local Panmure Briscoes numerous times in my lifetime. Sadly, I could not recall one positive experience. There is never any staff around the store to assist customers.
I waited 15 minutes in the queue on a quiet day just to ask if there was an unopened box of a product that the website said was in stock. After finally being served, I waited another 15 minutes for them to ‘check’ if they had it at the back. To my dismay, I got a blunt response saying they didn’t have it.
Does this store not understand that some customers have other places to be and simply can’t afford to spend valuable time just to be let down?
I’m really disappointed at this store and their unhelpful staff.

I buy online at the dunedin store as there is ALWAYS long queues. Went to pick up order today, first they couldn't find it, the woman was missing for ages, I confirmed I had received the text and email saying it was ready.. off she goes again. All while I'm getting glared at by the long queue of people waiting. Sort it out Dunedin Briscoes, Not the first time being mucked around when trying to pick up
