Excellent service from Siobhan - she was most helpful. But B&Q need to remove that painted green wall in the kitchen showroom as it’s not doing you any favours when customers are trying to purchase kitchen doors. Every door look’s green!!

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

B&Q offers the customer freedom to explore and research the product they wish to purchase, but is always ready to assist with purchasing the correct product. The lady and gentleman who normally provide cash till assistance are very helpful and obliging.

I am impressed by the customer and staff relationship. The staff always willing to help.

Used to spend a lot of money in b&q due to convenience of store but so disappointed with the so-called points system. You receive good offers but only have days to redeem before they expire. It doesn’t offer any reason for customer loyalty especially when you already know prices are higher here than others. Others now have my weekly business. Shameful.

Re:Mattress Guru & B&Q Mattress topper.
Item arrived in an unsecured box not vac-packed and dirty. Trying to pin down an exact timeframe for a refund has continued to be a nightmare. As for being “O
rthopaedic” the actual item was flat as a pancake even though it hadn’t been vacuum packed, soft as ice-cream in the Sahara and looks previously utilised by another person. Checking the net for reviews on the seller would/should make you think twice. Wish I pre/checked but I unfortunately trusted B&Q had performed adequate quality checks. They obviously didn’t!

You Can't do it ?

Planning a kitchen with potential sale as the units in the Handforth Dean store were at a reasonable price as we have a decent sized kitchen . Searched for a member of staff - a young assistant who informed us that he worked at the other side of the store. We waited until he returned to tell us that the person who dealt with the kitchens had gone home . It was mid afternoon.
With nobody available in such a large store we didn't return . Luckily managed to buy elsewhere as we instantly found helpful staff. Annoying as I think we would have bought .

The store was very well stocked

The store was very well stocked, clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and professional. There was no waiting at the check out which made my shopping experience even better.

Free delivery over £100 no it’s a lie

B+Q DELIVERY SCAM!
They say they offer free delivery on orders over £100 I recently tried to order. Value £179 then it goes to checkout and additional £30 is added for delivery. So they are false advertising, as a disabled person without my own transport delivery is sort of essential for me. I then went through all previous deliveries to find a delivery charge added on every order over £100. I’ll be waiting until Tuesday the 6th January when the saw mills re-open after the festive season. As a long time customer they have failed in they’re duty of customer care. So I won’t be ordering anything from them again.

B&Q is no longer the go-to trusted tool and supply shop it once was... avoid if you want to save yourself hassle and money

If I could give a 0, I would.

I placed a large order online. At checkout I picked a date for the order to be delivered. The money was paid. Job done... nice and easy, or so I thought!

The day before delivery arrived. I received confirmation that the delivery would be taking place the following day so I arranged for people to come and help me with the products when they arrived as it was a bulky order.

The next day arrived. We waited. The timeslot came and went. Several hours later i messaged them via their online chat. The driver had apparently put a note on the system to cancel the delivery and would contact me to rearrange. I asked when but the advisor did not know. After several days I contacted them again as nobody had been in touch. They said that they still did not know when someone would contact me to rearrange a delivery date so I asked them to just refund the order. I have since been passed from department to department via email, each email taking over a day to respond to, each asking whether I would like a refund or an exchange. ( yes an exchange, for an item I am still yet to recieve)
My order, worth £100's, was placed over a month ago and I am having to fight for a refund, even though each person I communicate with can confirm the items were not delivered via no fault of my own.

( the review asks for a date, however this issue is still unresolved)

Delivery all good

Delivery was more or less on time.
As ordered.
B+Q Llanelli have changed their delivery team - as when I last had a home delivery a couple of years ago they were dreadful.
So well done, big improvement; all good.
Thanks!

Newbury Staff are the best…

All staff at Newbury are polite, friendly and helpful. Most recently I have been given excellent service on two separate occasions when buying wood and compost. In the summer, when buying paint, I also received excellent service and advice. Highly recommend this branch of B&Q.

My order all turned up at different…

My order all turned up at different times we had the underlay on 1 delivery then door bars on another delivery and then we were meant to get the flooring and scotia bead on the next delivery which when it turned up they only had the scotia bead but no flooring as they forgot to put it on the van then we had to wait another week or so for the flooring to arrive and when it did one box was damaged so over all it was a very stressful purchase as it took nearly 3 weeks to receive all our items which delayed our project NOT HAPPY

The worse diy chain ever in my experience. Waited two weeks for three fence panels…

Waited two weeks for three fence panels to be delivered. Was sent a text with delivery time of 12-2pm. It didn't arrive. I phoned and was told the panels were on the vehicle on there way and if it hadn't reached me by three o clock to phone again. I was told there was a delay due to traffic but they were on their way and would definitely be here by 8pm. I waited till 6pm and phoned again and then I was told they weren't coming because they didn't have them in stock, which wasnt true because they had them in stock in a store near to me, so they had lied to me all along, wasted my time waiting for a delivery they had no intention of delivering and then the only option given was to refund me, which of course takes 3-5 days to be returned to my account. I left a complaint on one of their ads online and was asked to DM them, so I did and I've heard nothing since, so all in all, I can say hand on heart, this company is a waste of oxygen, with no regard for their customers and they lie repeatedly, and being over the Christmas period not easy to get fence panels at short notice so I still have panels missing ftom my fence. In my opinion, the absolute dross of a DIY store that I will avoid from now on.

Horrendous.

Horrendous.
Took 40 minutes on the phone to arrange the original delivery date due to lack of flexibility. But I got my friend to be at my house for me.
Not delivered as promised. When queried it I was told it was signed for by me (clearly a lie!) and told they would do a 48 hour investigation. When I chased after 3 days I was shown a pic of someone else's house yet still I have no goods, they've stolen my money and won't let me speak to the people who apparently are definitely sorting it out!
Don't bother.

Awful experience at B&Q Exeter

I ordered an item online from B&Q Exeter, but when I arrived, they brought out a completely different item (a blue one) that was nothing like what I had ordered. The manager, Nigel, claimed they had never stocked the product I ordered and offered no apology or solution. Instead, I was asked to check the shelves myself to see if anything similar was available. To make matters worse, I had to pay more for a replacement product since they wouldn’t match the original price.

The lack of sympathy and poor customer service from management was shocking. However, I must commend Steven, the young staff member who initially assisted me—he was polite and genuinely helpful. Sadly, his efforts were overshadowed by the overall poor experience.
