Lovely staff at the checkout

There was some works taking place at the time in store, during my visit, and so everything was in different locations, which took me a bit longer to find what I needed and some other stuff couldn't find at all. But besides that, the store is making some good changes that in my opinion is great, like the new display for Christmas shoppers. Overall, the staff is always welcoming and nice and the lady at the checkout, Maddy, was so lovely that made me leave the store with a big smile.

Pip was really helpful

Pip was really helpful, searched for the item that I could not find on the shelves to see if it was available or in stores and then went through the process with me to place the order.

Great customer service

The last 2 times I have visited this store I have had excellent customer service.
When you ask a question they actually listen and go the extra mile to see if they can find out.
On this visit I was asking about a bar stool that I couldn't find online. Sadly, it had been discontinued.
David had an amazing knowledge of what was in their warehouse and was extremely helpful. He went out to the back and found 2 of the discontinued bar stools.
I was over the moon!
If only every company gave customer service like this.

Awful- picked up a click and collect…

Awful- picked up a click and collect order- the product was clearly a return that had been sent back out as a new product- the box had been opened and taped back- no instructions - parts missing - and had already been part assembled…

For a retailer of this size- this is beyond unforgiveable and amounts to fraud

Tegan is a Star

Tegan served me. She was absolutely wonderful in personality and kindness. She answered my questions clearly. Went out of her way to ensure the chair I purchased was perfect for my granddaughter. She is a 🌟 Star member of the Homebase Bishops Stortford branch and an ideal candidate for a top role in the company.

very good customer service

Kevin helped us with choosing the paint we wanted for my room he was clearly very knowledgeable and helpful, the base we needed wasn’t in stock so he showed us many other alternatives and eventually we did choose an colour that was even better.

Order was in stock and collection very…

Order was in stock and collection very easy. However one 5l csn of paint was badly dented. I pointed this out and the assistant said "oh that'll be fine" and gave me no option to have an undented tin. Perhaps I should have been more persistent about getting an undamaged tin (as I doubt anyone else would have paid full price for it), but I was in a hurry. We'll soon see if the paint is ok.

Tegan was amazing

Tegan was amazing … we had a little problem with some paint spilling and she was brilliant. So friendly helpful. She even managed to mix some paint that we had mixed back in 2016 !!!!
Wish all customer service was as good as Tegan.

Promotional offers need to be clearer

Stock in good condition, but it was really unclear whether or not promotions had been applied on the receipt. Most of the prices in the outdoor pots section were either missing or obscured through fading.

Great experience thanks to Leigh

Leigh was a great help when I came in for paints. Not only did she give me multiple options but she helped me find a solution that worked best for my situation. Her knowledge was absolutely right when put into practice so she was greatly appreciated!

10/10 Customer service for sure

I spoke with Tina on phone regarding the stock as Homebase cancelled my delivery order, she was a pleasure & went over and beyond

Then Dave helped us load the van with 26 packs of flooring and was a pleasure to talk too. Going over & beyond! Great experience!

What an awful experience the bad customer service poor girl…

What an awful experience the poor girl at the click and collect was dealing with a queue of people when another girl turned up I said I’m waiting for a click and collect she told me to join the queue in a very unfriendly manner. When it was my turn the nice young lady called for assistance the rude girl interrupted her and said she had to ask for another member of staff not the one she originally asked. Rude girl then came off her till and spoke down to other staff member and said she didn’t call out loud enough so called again in a brusque manner, eventually a man came along she told him original requested man was doing it now. Then had to wait whilst boy did another click and collect even though I was there first
I will not return to this shop whilst such a rude employee is still there staff or customers should not be spoken to in the way she did under any circumstances

Excellent customer service.

Excellent customer service especially from the yard click and collect man who ensured that we were safe and loaded despite having problems loading. He was very helpful. Very pleased. However we were four bolts short in the assembly pack, we don't know why. Please forward the bolts we need.

The manager, Teigan

The manager, Teigan at this store went above and beyond for us. What a wonderfully kind person.
We ordered a sofa and chair from the Bishops Stortford store and the warehouse called us the day before to say the chair was out of stock.
I was, if I’m honest a little upset. We were moving house after a relationship breakdown and had nothing to furnish our new house.
Teigan managed to track down the out of stock item, went to pick it up and unbelievably delivered it personally to our new home in her own time. We aren’t even close to the store, it was probably a round trip of an 1.5 hours. I can’t thank her enough for this kindness and above and beyond. Homebase if you don’t reward her for this, I’m personally planning to poach her to come and work in the NHS where I am employed. We all need a Teigan in our time of need. Thank you. 🤩

I came to your store today

I came to your store today. I needed a certain hedge trimmer , as I just broke my neighbours one . Kevin went above and beyond to help me , there was none in stock , but he kept trying to find one , as the system said different. In the end he gave me the ex-display one , finding the battery and charger. A fantastic experience, and a great employee for Homebase

Very helpful Kevin!

Despite having received a message to say my Click and Collect order was ready for collection it wasn’t.However, Kevin was really helpful and pushed my order to my car and then placed the heavy bags in the boot for me .Excellent service and he was very cheerful too.

I love my new kitchen

I couldn't be happier. After shopping around at various other stores I decided the HouseBeautiful range at Homebase was exactly what i was looking for. Phil in the showroom did a fabulous job designing my dream kitchen. I can't wait to show it off to the whole family at Christmas. Thank you Phil!

I was looking at the bbq for
My son’s birthday and someone from bbq called Kevin popped up to help me and he was most helpful with wide knowledge and was my Night in shining armour!!!! He really is incredible, helpful, useful and a credit to your team, I’m definitely coming back to Homebase for all my essentials as my shopping trip was easy and stress free!! And to top of my experience he carried my very lard heavy box to the car!! I couldn’t of asked more he is incredible

Claire at Bishops Stortford branch has…

Claire at Bishops Stortford branch has been very helpful on both days we visited your store. Once when I took my Dementia brother she showed him kindness and didn’t hurry him. Today I went again with my husband and we purchased 3bags of stones and she informed us we could have a free bag ( which we didn’t know ) Thank you Claire
