Always a pleasure to go in.Great variety in strimmers and hedge trimmers.Been a customer for many years.All staff very helpful esp checkout and Caroline who is always so efficient and cheerful and the staff member in wheelchair also.
Sorry to see it go but I hope the staff continue with new group

Crying laughing at Jackie’s review and also the review at Colchester 😂 if they told you to p**s off I imagine you probably behaved in a way to deserve it. Went into a branch recently and the way the customers are treating staff is appalling. No “are you ok?� “How are you doing?� Just callously walking up to staff and blurting out “when are you closing?�

Really feel for the staff. All the customers giving 1 star reviews should be ashamed of themselves. Obviously dragged up and not taught any humility and decency growing up.

The staff are excellent and there's some brilliant bargains in the administration sale. The prices are sometimes cheaper than what's stated on the ticket also.

However, Whilst I appreciate it's a
DIY store, it isn't very clean and my hands were black when I left.

Some of the stock had clearly been there for some time and I noticed items that had a 'use by' date of early 2020! - nearly 5 years ago. It makes it clear to see why the business has failed to be honest.

Worst experience ever ordering online. Ordered an item on the 12th December and paid for next day delivery to then being told it would arrive before the 20th. Still no delivery and then eventually it arrives on the 27th which was meant to be a Xmas present but that didn’t happen. Everyone I spoke to an advisor they basically lied every time. First and last time I’ll be ordering anything from here

Order still not arrived

I ordered some Christmas decorations online back in November and was supposed to be a named day delivery also in November but it has never arrived. Have had no email updates. On Dec 4 I got an SMS saying that my order is "with our carrier. Black Friday volumes may mean it takes a little longer to arrive". I don’t actually believe this text at all. It has not arrived and I have not even received any emails from either Homebase or a carrier so there is no chance of tracking it. My online account says dispatched but no other details. I have tried to give them some understanding with going into administration but it honestly just feels like a money grab.

At this point I feel like Christmas will be over before my decorations will arrive (if they ever arrive!) which defeats the purpose of ordering early and choosing a fast delivery option.

Rude staff

I was in Store today and I ask one member of staff Lettie I think was her name as they still didnt deliver my parcel from 14 november we cancel them as we waiting long time and I would like to my refund money. I called to costumer service and they said that from last sunday every store can refund the money and if will be any problem I have to give the phone them. This Lady [ Latie ] disnt want to listen to me she start shouting on le so e as well I start swearing and shouting she said that she disnt wont to talk with costumer service and said that I have to leave as he call for police I hope that this lady understand what she done I was the costumer she shouls first listen to me what I want to say .... and I hope that will be some conseqence for her.. They stolen my money and they didnt want to refund. Now I dont have money and my parcel.

5* Wall display Christmas Tree

I ordered a little Christmas tree that hangs on the wall and is battery operated… it was £30 and worth every penny. It looks much better than I thought it would and the quality was surprisingly great. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. Ordered a number of items via the website, over 3 weeks ago, and yet to receive. Spoke to customer services and repeatedly told the delivery status via yodel will update within 24 hours that was a week ago and yodel have now informed me they do not have my parcels as still with Homebase. Informed them multiple times that I am moving house in just over a week now, again ignored my emails as I have requested a refund as very much doubt will be here before I move and again no contact.

Shabby service !!!

Shabby service !!!
Bought a tap for my kichen was wrongly advised in store on the model. Needed to get it for my plumber in advance Went back into change the model I needed was there and was more expensive .Refused any help whatsoever No exchange no refund !!what good is that to someone sitting with an item like a tap it wasn't a cheap run of paint !Contacted customer service apologies sent which weren't worth the paper they were wrote on still no soloution and no willingless to help a customer Apparently this is due to them closing down ?? What rights does the customer have because it's going into administration Apparently none! But if I had purchased online I could change it why is this ?? Loyal customer of homebase for years to be treated in this manner is disgraceful!! Buyer beware posters everywhere advertising great prices a little small one showing their refund policy ! Go figure !!

I went deliberately to buy tester pots

I went deliberately to buy tester pots, all showing 90% off, 50% off, not the big tins.
At the till it showed over £16 for 6 piddly pots, even their own brand.
Questioning, I was patronized with the 'oh no, you've had a discount applied and some are 50% off'..
How many people have not checked their receipts if making multiple purchases?
The markers clearly do not advise FROM..
No wonder they've gone bust.

My order still hasn't arrived after a month of waiting

I ordered an item just after Homebase went into administration. Of course it never arrived, even though their record shows it was delivered on 23 November.
After a lengthy wait on the phone to enquire I was told that they had in fact not delivered the order and there there would be a delay and a colleague "would be reaching out to me" to explain the situation. Never happened. Then on Dec 4 I got an SMS saying that my order is "with their carrier" Because of black Friday volumes it will take a bit longer to arrive. I'm still waiting. Folks, avoid this company like the plague as they are clearly in trouble. I should have been warned earlier when I went to their Christchurch store where it was obvious that floor staff there didn't really care and worse still didn't quite know what they were doing at the till.

Homebase kitchen Ben Cassan

Ben Cassan at Homebase Horsham kitchen department was invaluable to us in his advice and kitchen design. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went above and beyond to assist us in optimising our kitchen design. He had a really good understanding of his products and was integral to our decision in selecting Homebase as our kitchen supplier Cannot recommend him highly enough.

No wonder they are in receivership

Promised delivery on the 27th of November didn't arrive, left it a couple of days as its near Christmas. Rang to find out were the delivery was to be told that Homebase no longer have a courier due to current sercomstanc and it may never arrive for the same reason.
Asked for my money back to be told they could not do that again due to current sercomstanc even though the web site says they offer a full refund if orders cannot be fulfilled.

Ordered a Christmas tree on the 24th…

Ordered a Christmas tree on the 24th November (loads of time i thought....). Days went past before it was in stock and with the courier. Courier kept failing to deliver. Multiple mails to try to find out what went wrong. Homebase identified they had formatted the delivery address incorrectly & rearranged delivery and then the courier sent it back to Homebase! Customer services then gave me a refund because they said they didn't have any stock (not even my tree that had gone back???) and that it was "out of their control". What a farce... i'm now struggling to find stock of any decent trees and will have to wait to get my money back. Asked for it to be escalated but told sorry - cant do anything more. Very frustrating experience with poor customer service.

Usual let down

Usual let down, they say uk delivery, what they mean is England only, take the money and then refund a couple of days later sating their courier doesnt pass the border, they know this so why does it come as a surprise eh!! Useless cowboy company, could always use a more reputable courier "if they wanted" steer clear of this company unless you want to be dissapointed. And as for ebay allowing this and accepting them to say the buyer wanted a refund, just a copout by them. As i say a cowboy company.
