Am very happy with Launtel after lots of problems with other ISP's
Am very happy and cannot find fault!
I have had a host of bad and horror experiences with other internet service providers. Sometimes the connection was okay (not brilliant but okay) but often the customer service was lacking... sometimes both were lacking. So, when my last ISP upped their prices significantly, I went spoke again to Launtel. Every time I've engaged with their customer service team, they have worked to assist me, to understand and provide assistance. The most recent contact was not actually technically their job (the connection was brilliant, I just couldn't get my laptop to work!) yet, the gentleman that assisted, like all those before, still assisted me (and it was actually an easy fix). They are not patronising, they don't get frustrated and they don't speak to you like you're an idiot! Yet neither do they only have limited knowledge, as they truly understand the product and systems required for to effectively use the internet. On one day, my neurological issues were causing me a struggle and a lovely new lady hadn't undertaken the issue I was having setting up a payment (which worked perfectly once set up by the way) and I explained that I could see she was trying to help, she hadn't done anything wrong but could she transfer me to someone who knew about this aspect of the platform. Instead of taking offense as so many others do or delaying a transfer, she said, "Yes, of course I can!" with no hint of annoyance towards me. The next lady was able to give me the instructions and it was sorted in about 3 minutes. I consistently have had excellent customer service and unlike all prior ISP's, I have had NO issues with connection speed! Given I had come from one of the "big three" telco's and they were registering speeds that meant you actually couldn't do anything (as my mother who's an IT expert said, "that's like burying a line in antarctica and expecting it to do something!"). I like how they "bill" people, it's essentially a type of prepay, however, you control your payments. Plus if you go on holiday or like me, perhaps end up in hospital, you can pause your connection and you don't pay for that day (as long as you remember to actually pause it!). Which is great because you're not paying for what you're not using. Am truly very thankful. Also note: Their business tech support is available 24/7 whereas residential is 8am-10pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday. But know, often smaller providers, have the same or LESS technical support. Even Optus and Telstra are limited after approximately 8pm. They do have their app, but the assistance you'll get after these hours depends a lot on the person "assisting". So in my opinion, the support hours that Launtel offers are still brilliant and helpful. As things stand, I would highly recommend this service.
