Poor Customer Service for Small Businesses
I have had a great experience with Zoho Books until December. In early December our bank accounts stopped syncing with Zoho Books; this is one of the paid for features of Zoho Books. I understand that it takes time to resolve the issue but 7 weeks later, I am still being told "we are looking into the matter and we will update you as soon as possible". As this is ongoing and Zoho customer service can give me no fix date, I asked for a partial refund but was told that would not be possible. I consider this to be terrible customer service. I could run the free plan and have the same level of service that I am getting now from Zoho. I really feel that Zoho do not care about the small business owner.

I purchased Zoho CRM with the intention…
I purchased Zoho CRM with the intention of replacing my current system, however in the process of trying to figure out how to use Zoho I discovered that mine pretty much did everything that this one did. Zoho has a clause that if you want a refund that you have to contact them within 45 days of registering, which I did, but now they are telling me that they won't honour the refund. I am still in the middle of this mess, trying to escalate this to get some resolution. I am very unhappy with them for welching on our agreement. They will probably come up with some baloney as to why they won't refund me. I was just about to mention Zoho to my business network group. I will definitely be talking to my group - but I won't be recommending Zoho to anyone!

Disappointing Customer Service Overshadows Good Applications
Zoho, and its flagship suite Zoho One, undoubtedly offer a wide range of applications that are often so comprehensive you don’t need other tools. However, when it comes to customer service, the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
My email account was deactivated, and as someone whose work depends 100% on email communication, this has been a devastating interruption. I had two separate online chats with Zoho to resolve the issue, spending almost an entire day trying to get it fixed, only to leave with no resolution. Their response? A simple "we're sorry for the inconvenience," which feels dismissive and frustrating when you're facing such a critical issue.
To make matters worse, when your domain expires and is set to renew through Zoho (a process they control by choosing the provider), they completely wash their hands of any problems that may arise. They don’t take responsibility, leaving customers stranded in situations where email downtime can cause serious business losses.
While their applications are great, the lack of urgency and accountability in their customer service makes it impossible to rely on Zoho for something as crucial as email. If you're considering Zoho, think twice before trusting them with critical business services—one unresolved issue could cost you more than you think.

Awful company to deal with, pushed us into the wrong package
We initially entered discussions about purchasing Zoho for our team, and while Natasha, our initial point of contact, was helpful enough, things quickly went downhill from there.
The initial demo call with the engineer was disappointing. While the session was poorly conducted, the engineer assured us that the Professional Edition would meet all our needs, including creating custom email functions for sales inquiries from the same email address, with different details —something we specifically highlighted as a requirement. This assurance was given after discussing our budget and constraints.
However, as soon as we started using Zoho, it became evident that it didn’t meet our needs at all. The system couldn’t perform the critical tasks we were promised it would, most notably the creation of custom email features. When I raised this issue with our new account manager, I was simply told we’d need to upgrade to a higher-tier plan.
Given our budget limitations, upgrading wasn’t an option. I asked if Zoho could upgrade us to the Enterprise Edition at no additional cost, as we were sold on the promise that the Professional Edition would suffice. The account manager said he would ask about this but instead sent an email to his team stating we couldn’t afford the Enterprise Edition and wanted to cancel. This miscommunication, likely due to his poor English and lack of understanding, was extremely frustrating.
At this point, we were completely fed up with the time wasted and requested a refund. We’ve now asked for a refund three times, but it still hasn’t been processed. To make matters worse, additional payments have been attempted, despite our ongoing refund request.
Zoho has proven to be an absolute shambles of a company. The service is unreliable, the communication is poor, and the promises made during the sales process were outright misleading. I would strongly caution anyone considering Zoho to carefully evaluate their options and not take their assurances at face value.

My initial research into business email solutions led me to Zoho, where I discovered a wide range of services I wasn’t aware of. The event was well-organized with distinct tracks: CX, Developer and Collaboration, and Finance and HR. As someone in the hospitality industry, I found the CX Track to be particularly relevant.
Though I don’t often write reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience due to the exceptional support I received from Zoho's team, particularly Srinath Vasudevan. After explaining the CRP features, Srinath went beyond answering my questions—he arranged a one-on-one session to ensure I understood everything clearly. When I had further inquiries, he connected me with Rajesh Meiyyappan, who took the time to understand my business needs. Srinath’s follow-up after the event, ensuring I had all the information I needed, truly stood out. I also want to thank Rajesh, Vijhay Sathiyanarayanan, and Vigneswar S V for their outstanding support throughout this process.

I've been unable to log into my Zoho…
I've been unable to log into my Zoho account for quite some time. I reached out to the Zoho support team, but their response was very slow, and the solutions they provided didn't resolve the issue. This has negatively impacted my small business, so I decided to switch to Google. However, Zoho is still charging me fees. When I requested to cancel my subscription, they told me I needed to log into my account to do it myself—but I can't log in! This is incredibly frustrating and feels like they are taking advantage of their customers.
