Really enjoying having a PitPat tracker for my dog. It's great to see how much running, walking, playing, pottering and sleeping is going on and to know that he's getting the exercise and rest he needs. The tracker gives a location but it is way too slow for the intended use and very disappointing. Takes on average 10 minutes to start which is absolutely ridiculous. It does not refresh often enough to track the exact location, often it gives details from 2-3 minutes ago. For what I've paid for it I wouldn't say I am happy with the performance. Instead of spending resources creating functions like badges, the performance of the tracking should be improved.
I also emailed customer services to let them know of tracking taking so long to start and never had a reply...

Missing emails and calls is something we absolutely do not do. It's important to us that every customer gets the same level of quality support.
I am sorry that you found the tracker too slow for its intended use. It's hard to say exactly why it took so long, however there is a mast currently down towards Lancing. The last thing we would want would be for Pixie to wander off without being able to be live-tracked.
There are plenty of our Pack members who really enjoy the functions and indeed collecting the different badges, although I can understand why you may not see them as important. I will forward your remarks to our Director of Product Strategy as it is really important to take onboard feedback, be it negative or positive.

Good bit of kit. Nice and small on the harness. I tend to put tracking on anytime we go walking as sometimes it can take a while for it to pick up satellite signals and wouldn't want to lose time waiting if my dog ran off. Tracks very well and is worth the price for peace of mind. Good stuff

Returned after 7 days use absolute waste of money. Never picked up on my dogs location, my dog could have been miles away. Gone back to my Tractive

Happy with purchase and have using for a few weeks.
But the weak link seams to be the Velcro as i have remove the tracker for charging and the other day he went into some bushes and came out without it.
I have been unable to find the tracker.

I have given three stars as our first Pit Pat was bought January ‘22 and stopped working November ‘24, this was very sad! 😔 I messaged Pit Pat and they offered me half price on a new one. I did go ahead and purchase one but was a bit hesitant to do this. I do feel they should last longer than my first one did?!

Prompt response and delivery. Clear instructions. My dog only wears it when out exercising, but even so the device needs recharging every 2 days.

It's a nice idea. I was drawn to the idea that it has no on going subscription which is true. I was also drawn to the idea that the battery lasts for weeks between charges, this is a plain lie. Ours needs recharging every few days which is made worse by the time it takes to recharge (induction). The good thing here is that the product is waterproof.
The app is good in that it shows the distance covered by your pet per day. You can also find your dog should it decide to slip away (tracking dramatically reduces battery life).
It can also plot your walk and add lots to fitness regime for a subscription. So it's kinda half true. Then there is the badgering for you to buy PitPat dried food (very inappropriate for our dog) amongst other things.
All in all, for the price a bit disappointing. I wish we had researched alternatives a little more. Better battery life would make a big difference as would the ability to remove food, insurance etc. As for the walk tracking, PitPat gathers the data anyway so why not give it away.

It would be better to be honest about your product and it's limitations rather than blame the cell network. Pretty slick reply Mark but it doesn't help. It seems I will have to move house to enjoy the advertised features of pit pat. Mark, a better more accurate description of the product would go down better than your slightly greasy reply. No offence, it's a very good peice of divertive narrative in line with all the other divertive peices you have written. You are very good at your job!

Thanks for leaving your thoughts on your GPS Tracker.
I am pleased that you are happy with the fact that you do not have to have a subscription to find your dog.
Obviously, you are disappointed with the current battery life. It is a fact that the battery can last weeks. My dog's GPS Tracker lasts for around 10 days to two weeks, which is pretty good going. There are areas of the UK where the coverage isn't quite there yet and this will affect how much battery is required for successful live-tracking and daily usage.
We are hopeful that we will soon have improved battery life and, with a little luck, those large telecom companies will do as they have promised and upgrade their masts.
Once again, thank you for your feedback. It can only help us to improve our devices. We do like to listen to our Pack at PitPat.

I have found this very useful. It is more reliable than the biscuit app I have been using, as I don't have to start it before I take my dog for a walk. Also it doesn't lose internet connection like the app. I like that I can use imperial measurements.
