I tried logging in again but still the adverts played but not the programme. What a swizz!
No doubt playing only adverts and when the app feels like it the programmes they a can say:
Who owns Channel 4 and try to push their subscription service to watch programmes from the late 1990s?
They say, Channel 4 is a publicly owned ‘public corporation’, which entirely funds itself through commercial activities, mainly advertising. Indeed, the most recent year’s figures show that the channel generated a pre-tax surplus.
Let's just sell it off to any idiot who wants to buy this lame duck and see how it can compete with subscription TV pushing old 20th century programmes.
At least subs TV provide programmes you can watch and no Adverts. the Walter Presents is the only new decent programmes that would do better on Prime, Netflix, Disney or Apple+.

Katie Price -Making Babies - why would Channel 4 air a show like this? Ms Price already has 5 children and this programme is an absolute insult to all those people who have issues with their fertility and may genuinely need IVF treatment -can money really buy you anything these days! In very, very poor taste Channel 4. Shame on you for giving her the airtime for this programme.

Absolute garbage, tried watching patience on catch up, which i had to give up on because of continually freezing during every advert break and wouldnt go back to the programme once the timer circle started. I installed 4 on my phone and got a message that I wasn't allowed to cast to a secondary screen. Not worth having !

The "Ad-Free" Subscription still has Ads

We got the 7-day free trial for which you have to sign up to a monthly or annual subscription and then cancel it if you don't want it. They say this removes ads. We found that it removes most but not all ads. You still get McDonalds or Betting ads at the start of viewing, and then every 10 minutes or so through a program you get two ads for other Channel 4 streamed programs. Also the program was 'sponsored by' a company and every 10-minute interrupt ends with them too. These start without warning and so you totally lose the flow of the thing you're watching. We cancelled the subscription after two days and that's also difficult - we had to watch a YouTube video explaining how to do it! It would be better to do it like Prime Video, where you pay to cancel ads and there are absolutely no ads or interruptions during streaming or before or after.

Useless streaming service

Absolutely useless streaming service. Constantly dropping out. Cannot watch an hours programme without crashing. To add to the dreadful experience there are far too many adds.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish. The only app on my firestick that constantly crashes. Often doesn't launch at all. Then have to uninstall and reinstall app to get it working for a bit until it crashes again...

Absolutely appalling app

Absolutely appalling app. Crashes every time you reach the end of the adverts. Can’t actually watch the programme. Won’t work at all on my tv. I have to cast it. Honestly the worst streaming app I’ve ever used

We do from time to time watch c4

We do from time to time watch c4 on demand. We get the green circle of death at each advert break.

Still, gives me time to have a shower or cook dinner. Make love or get the BBQ going.

Channel 4 the most racist appeasing…

Channel 4 the most racist appeasing channel to date !!! The fake grooming scandal !! How dare you even go there!! Not once did you ever mention them 2500 girls groomed by certain individuals!!! This girls release from prison is nothing but political, we know why she was released, the good people are opening their eyes to fake news today !!! Buffer overflow

The app injected the first 30 seconds of an advert into samsung TV memory then any other app netflix, prime, disney all started playing the advert when you would try play.
Had to unplug wait 30 seconds and plug in again very atrange behaviour. The advert was for scrapheap challenge.
