Tanya is a strategic and creative leader in public health and social change and an interdisciplinary scholar focused on building healthy communities free from violence and exploitation.
Prior to joining RAINN, Tanya held leadership roles for grassroots nonprofit organizations, provided consulting services for nonprofit and government organizations, and held teaching positions at various universities. She has extensive experience working in crisis and disaster zones including Afghanistan, India, Brazil, and Louisiana.
Tanya holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature with specializations in Gender Studies and Sustainability Studies from the University of California, Riverside.
