Find music in Apple Music Classical
You can search Apple Music Classical to find a specific album or recording, or browse by category for variety. When you want to narrow down a list of results, you can sort or filter it.
Search in Apple Music Classical
You can search by composer, work, conductor, catalogue number and more.
Go to the Apple Music Classical app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Do one of the following:
On iPhone or Android: Tap Search.
On iPad: Tap Search. (You may need to tap to display Search in the sidebar.)
Enter a name, word or phrase in the search field.
Tap a result, or tap See All [Items]. (You may need to scroll down.)
To start a new search instead, tap Cancel, then enter a new search term.
Browse by category
Go to the Apple Music Classical app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Do one of the following:
On iPhone or Android: Tap Browse.
On iPad: Tap Browse. (You may need to tap to display Browse in the sidebar.)
Tap any of the following:
Catalogue: Find albums and works by period, conductor, orchestra and more.
Playlists: Choose from over 700 expertly curated playlists based on composer, period, mood and other specifics.
Instruments: Choose a type of instrument to display an extensive list of related artists, works and albums.
Tap a subcategory, name or title to see more information.
Explore new and featured music
Go to the Apple Music Classical app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Tap Home.
(On iPad, you may need to tap to display Home in the sidebar.)
Scroll horizontally or vertically to explore new and notable albums, as well as playlists that focus on a composer, era or theme.
Discover the most listened to albums
Go to the Apple Music Classical app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Tap Home.
(On iPad, you may need to tap to display Home in the sidebar.)
Scroll vertically to discover the most listened to albums.
Note:This list is curated weekly based on albums that are played most often in Apple Music and Apple Music Classical, identified most often by Shazam and purchased most often in the iTunes Store.
Find related content
Each composer, artist, work, album and recording has a page with links to related items. (You may need to scroll down to view all content.)
Go to the Apple Music Classical app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Do any of the following:
On a composer page: Tap a work, playlist, album or related composer. You can also find biographies for selected composers.
On an artist page: Tap an album or a related artist. You can also find biographies for selected artists.
On a work page: Tap a recording or a related work. You can also find work descriptions for selected works.
On an album page: Tap a work, track, composer or artist.
On a recording page: Tap a track, album, composer or artist.
Note:Biographies aren’t available in all languages and may not be available in some countries or regions.
Show all items
While searching, exploring content or displaying items you added to your library, you might only see a partial list. To expand the list, tap See All [Items].
Tip:While searching or browsing, you can also search within the expanded list. On iPhone or iPad, you may need to swipe down within the list of items to show the search bar.
Sort or filter items
After you choose See All [Items], you can sort or filter the list.
Do one of the following:
On iPhone or iPad: Tap .
On Android: Tap .
Do any of the following:
Sort the list: Tap a sort option to change the order of items (for example, Recently Added).
Filter the list: Tap Favourited (to show just items you marked as favourites).
