Create and delete reminders on iCloud.com
Each reminder you create is put in a reminder list.
Create a reminder
In Reminders on iCloud.com, select a list for the new reminder, then do one of the following:
If you’re using updated reminders, tap to add a reminder to the bottom of the list.
You can also add a reminder below an existing reminder. Select the title of the reminder, then tap Return or Enter.
If you’re not using updated reminders, tap New Item.
Tip: To create a reminder from the iCloud.com homepage, tap in the corner of the Reminders tile. To create a new reminder from anywhere on iCloud.com, tap in the toolbar, then tap Reminder.
Type the reminder (for example, “dentist appointment”) in the text field that appears, then tap Done or tap Return or Enter to create another reminder.
Add details to a reminder for updated reminders
You can add details to a reminder, like a note or alert. You can edit the reminder’s title, add notes, set an alert for location or day, and flag a reminder.
Note: If you’re using updated reminders, you can also view a note’s priority and list on iCloud.com. Use the Reminders app on a device with iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS 10.15, or later to add additional details.
In Reminders on iCloud.com, select the reminder you want to add details to, tap , then do any of the following:
Edit the reminder title: Type a new title.
Add a note: Type a description or other information in the text field.
Receive an alert on a specific day: Turn on “Remind me on a Day,” then set the date and time.
Receive an alert at a particular location: Turn on “Remind at Location,” then tap the pop-up menu and choose an option.
Flag a reminder: Tap the flag at the top of the details pane.
Add details to a reminder (if you’re not using updated reminders)
If you’re not using updated reminders, you can add notes, set an alert for a specific day, and assign a priority to reminders.
In Reminders on iCloud.com, select the reminder you want to add details to, tap Details, then do any of the following:
Add a note: Type a description or other information in the text field.
Receive an alert on a specific day: Select “On a day,” then set the date and time you want to be reminded. Tap the Never Repeat pop-up menu, then choose a reminder interval.
Assign a priority: Tap the Priority pop-up menu and then choose an option. Prioritised items appear with one, two or three exclamation marks in the reminder list.
Delete a reminder
WARNING: When you delete a reminder, it’s deleted on every device with Reminders turned on in iCloud settings. If you’re using updated reminders and delete a reminder with subtasks, the reminder and all its subtasks are deleted.
In Reminders on iCloud.com, select the list where the reminder appears, then select the reminder you want to delete.
Do one of the following:
If you’re using updated reminders, select the reminder title and tap the Delete or Backspace key to delete all the characters (also delete the note, if any), then tap Done.
If you’re not using updated reminders, tap the Delete or Backspace key.
If you’re not using updated reminders, you can also tap Details, then tap Delete in the Details window.
Note: If you accidentally delete reminders and you aren’t using updated reminders you can restore them on iCloud.com using a web browser on an iPad or a Mac or Windows computer.
If you’re using updated reminders, you can turn a reminder into a subtask of the reminder above it when you sign in to iCloud.com on a Mac or Windows computer.
