Send audio clips in a text using Messages on Mac
To leave a group conversation, there must be at least three other participants. Your friends can play the recording right in the Messages window.

In the Messages app
on your Mac, select a conversation, then click the Send Voice Message button 
to record a message.To finish the recording, click the Stop button
.Click Send.
After you send the audio clip, it disappears from your Messages window after 2 minutes. The recipient can still play your audio clip. To preserve the audio clip in your Messages window, click Keep.
