Follow or unfollow shows in Podcasts on Mac
You can follow shows you like and get new episodes automatically as soon as they become available. If you’re no longer interested in a show, you can unfollow it.
Follow a show
In the Podcasts app on your Mac, search to find podcasts or click a category below Apple Podcasts in the sidebar.
Select a show to see its information page, then click the Follow button . If the show offers a subscription, you can also subscribe from the information page. See Subscribe to shows or channels.

You can choose whether to automatically download new or unplayed episodes for shows you follow. See Change settings.
Tip: You can also follow a show when you know its URL. Choose File > Follow a Show by URL, enter the RSS feed URL, then click Follow. You can usually find the URL on that podcast’s web page.
Unfollow a show
In the Podcasts app on your Mac, click Shows below Library in the sidebar.
Hold the pointer over a show, click the More button , then choose Unfollow Show.
Note: If you unfollow a show that you subscribe to, your paid subscription is still active. See Cancel or change your subscription.
If a dialog appears, choose whether to remove or keep downloaded episodes.
