Test a mobile app policy

You may want to test your mobile app policy with only a few users before you include everyone in your organization. You’re only able to add a subset of managed accounts to a policy. You can do this when you create or add a policy or when you edit your existing policy.

To create a test mobile app policy with specific users:

1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

2. Select Security > Mobile app policy.

3. Create a policy.

4. Select the apps you’d like to include in the policy.

5. Name your policy (150 characters or fewer).

6. Select a subset of users to test your policy.

7. Select from the managed accounts in your organization.

8. Select Create policy.

To test a mobile app policy with specific users for an existing policy:

1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

2. Select Security > Mobile app policy.

3. Select Edit from the Action menu.

4. Select a subset of users to test your policy.

5. Select from the managed accounts in your organization.

6. Select Update policy.

To test your policy, users in the policy can log out of their Atlassian accounts from a mobile app and then log back in. This forces the mobile app to fetch your policy immediately without having to wait 7 days.
