Since I reloaded Last.fm a few hours ago, recent tracks have stopped refreshing.
I've always had the auto update enabled. I've tried disabling extensions, deleting cookies, even use a different browser, but recent tracks refuse to update. This has never happened to me before. I have to reload the page every time I scrobble a new track.
Deezer. I don't know why that matters. Scrobbling is working, recent tracks are what is not updating.
And to be clear, recent tracks appear in last.fm/user/tulipansie/library, but not in last.fm/user/tulipansie. No matter how many tracks have already been scrobbled, the 5 recent tracks in my profile do not auto update. I hope this makes sense, I don't know how else to explain it.
it matters cause on spotify, for exemple, the scrobbles are somehow native. So you often need to unbound-rebound last fm & spotify for this to work again
as for your issue, honestly it's on last fm side I'd say.. it already happened to me, bug stayed there for a few days then it came back to normal.. not really sure what causes this tbh, it's a pain, but one of the many things that last fm has to work on
So you mean the "Scrobbling now" track with yellow background shown at the top of your recent tracks list, right? Deezer never provided that with their internal scrobbling option, only when using external scrobbling apps like the Web Scrobbler browser extension or Android scrobblers with Deezer.
@hjbardenhagen No, I was not talking about the Scrobbling now. The page just does not update.
@TheRealestUkae Are you having the same problem as well? Is it still happening to you?
@LastfmSupport After almost 24 hours, the recent tracks are still not refreshing. If the page is inactive, it used to refresh after a few seconds. Now it just doesn't. What's going on? Can I expect this to be fixed? Because it's really getting on my nerves.
How my recent tracks look now (my last scrobble was 10 hours ago)
i use deezer as well and i don't have that issue, i've been keeping an eye on it for the past hours and no issues :// this seems to be an internal last.fm thing, unfortunately
@hyperfixd Yes, it's probably only affecting specific accounts as not everyone is experiencing it. Unfortunately, Last.fm chose me to have this problem and after a day, I'm seriously considering not listening to music because this silly problem is triggering my anxiety. Thanks for checking anyway.
@tulipansie can you please tell us which browser & version you're using?
We also noticed that you have a dark mode extension running - is that correct? Have you tried disabling it (and any other browser extensions / scripts that might interfere with the page) to see if that helps at all?
edit: Nevermind - just saw your email. Our guess would be the dark theme extension, but you said you've tried turning it off. Even so, can you try logging into your account via a different web browser (e.g. Firefox or Edge) and see if the issue persists?
In the meantime, we're going to discuss this with the webteam.
so I just checked for me (sorry i'm being nosy) and it works on all of my chromium based browsers (chrome, opera gx and brave) and as tuipansie i also use deezers internal scrobbling feature.
I'm also using Deezer's internal scrobbling, but I don't think that actually matters, cause after scrobbling something on Open Scrobbler it also doesn't auto update.
I think I will be using Edge in the meantime, since it works there, and if this doesn't get fixed on Chrome, I will just reload last.fm/user/tulipansie/library every x hours, even if it's annoying.
okay, so i tried looking at your profile, bc i thought maybe it's just like a visual bug for you and it doesn't refresh for me either??? that's so weird, like when i refresh manually it works but not like auto. so??? i'm confused.
