How to group assets on the timeline

Selecting multiple assets on the timeline and turning them into a container lets you make edits to all items at the same time. Containers can be moved around the timeline without the need to continue selecting multiple items individually. You can also copy, paste, or split your entire container easily.

  1. To group assets on the timeline into a container, hold the shift key on your keyboard (for both MacBook and Windows).

  2. Click on the assets on the timeline that you would like to group.

  3. After you selected all assets, right-click to reveal an options menu. Here, you can select duplicate, copy, paste, delete, split, group, and more.

  4. Click on the group button to group your assets into a container on the timeline.

Note: All assets on the timeline like images, videos, music, voiceovers, text, and overlays can be grouped into containers.

How to edit individual assets within the group

When grouped, assets can still be edited individually. Double-click the item on the timeline or video preview to select the individual asset.

How to ungroup assets on the timeline

To ungroup assets on the timeline, right-click on the asset again, then click on the ungroup button. This will automatically ungroup all of the assets on the timeline within the container.
