Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You have a server that runs Windows Server 2012 R2.
-
You have a Cluster Shared Volume (CSV).
-
You create one or more snapshots of this volume.
-
IO failures occur on the CSV volume and its snapshots at the same time.
-
After a while, one of the snapshots (or the CSV volume itself) is stuck in Draining state.
In this scenario, the CSV volume will be inaccessible until a failover occurs.
Resolution
