In 2024, Microsoft 365 Copilot changed the way people the way people find information, create content and collaborate with their team, saving people time and enhancing productivity. It was just over a year ago that the product was rolled out to eager customers. Your feedback has been crucial in shaping the product as we rapidly rollout updates and new features.

January answered your requests for more control in Copilot in Teams while still leveraging the benefits of Copilot assistance during meetings.
February brought an improved experience to your favorite place to use Copilot – Microsoft Teams – and brought you Copilot in the Windows Desktop for the first time.

In May, a new unified experience for teams to collaborate on projects was introduced, integrating to-dos, tasks, plans, and goals with the new Microsoft Planner.
June introduced several changes to be mindful of information management. Intelligent call recap provides AI-generated notes and action items that allow us to focus on the conversation.

July continued to build on the enhanced and personalized Copilot experience including speaker recognition so we can all participate, regardless of where we are working. If you haven’t already, create your voice profile in the Teams desktop app.

In September we rolled out Microsoft 365 Copilot wave 2, where we introduced a whole new way to work with Copilot. We brought together web + work + Pages as a new design system for knowledge work, which included advanced data analysis in Microsoft Excel, dynamic storytelling gin PowerPoint, managing your inbox in Outlook, and more. We also added new guidance in our Service Trust Portal for security, regulatory compliance, and privacy information.
