It would be of great value to their customers if Microsoft would consider, in a way that showed they really cared, the full financial total cost of everyone having to upgrade to W11. The total amount is staggering. I would not be surprised if the amount exceeds that of some of the worst natural disasters in history! If Microsoft could just spend even a fraction of that total cost in making a truly safe core OS and core application security features - the kind that can be fully audited for security from the ground up - then there would be far less need to upgrade for security purposes.
If security isn't improving with time something is desperately wrong with priorities. I hope it doesn't seem like I am bashing Microsoft here , I am not, I am rather honestly pleading with Microsoft to spend more time and resources on core security features above literally all else. I fear if the long history of Windows exploits is any guide then by W10 EOL that most of the hardware security rationales offered for this upgrade will have been rendered mostly ineffective by then rendering this fantastic cost to the consumer base a breathtakingly shameful waste...
