Can't amend staff hours

I used the Bookable When Staff are Free option on my Services and I now need to change the hours some of my staff work. When I go to edit their hours, I click on Save and the circle whirls around, however when I go back in, the change has not been applied. Are there restrictions on editing staff details if bookings have already been made?
