MS Bookings - if one enrolled customer cancels a booking it cancels the entire booking
We are having an issue when guests are booking themselves into an existing appointment intended for multiple guests - once booked they are given a confirmation page including an option to "cancel booking" - however instead of cancelling it just for them it cancels the whole booking. All other customers that are booked in are informed and the original booking is removed from the calendar.
Have seen many other posts with the same issue - reports of it being fixed don't appear accurate. We tested the process today (13th Sep) and the issue is not fixed
Thank you

I've just come across this issue today, so is still happening. Luckily it was picked up when testing how it all works, but definitely still a problem with Microsoft Bookings in January 2025.

We have the same issue at this moment. What causes this problem?
- JThomas235Copper ContributorWe are having this issue as well and it is causing confusion for both staff and customers.
- Tom_L_NNCopper ContributorHi JThomas235 - seems it's a default setting that if there is only one customer in a booking and they cancel it will always cancel the whole event. But, if there are 2 or more customers, the event won't cancel even if customers cancel their spot. So we are assigning one "placeholder" customer to each event before inviting others, which ensures there are always 2+ customers in each one

Hi JodyC185 - we haven't had any luck so far - the issue isn't fixed. I did have a meeting with an MS support person and submitted a recording/log of the issue - if things manage to be fixed I'll reply in here and let you know. We are not able to use the app either because of the issue 😞
- Tom_L_NNCopper ContributorHi davisjr, yes unfortunately we are still experiencing the issue. As user ThomasSchwoerer mentioned below, I even created a new service to test and the issue persists. If a booking is set up to allow multiple guests (e.g. by increasing max amount attendees) one guest still has the ability to cancel the whole booking
- Babu_AlagarsamyMicrosoftIf your Bookings page is published for everyone, can you please share the Bookings page URL over DM to me? Thanks!
- ThomasSchwoererIron ContributorYou'll need to create new services, that fully resolves the issue going forward and ensures you won't have problems.
